Hoa An Tunnel connects 2 Riverside Roads

The road construction project along Dong Nai river is one of the key projects being implemented in Bien Hoa city.

Mr. Huynh Tan Loc, Vice Chairman of Bien Hoa City People's Committee said that up to now, the city authorities have completed tallying of the land area of the people in the project area, and are currently undertaking land traceability work.

Along with that, the Dong Nai river road construction project has also been submitted for appraisal of the feasibility study report in May.

According to the scheduled progress, From now to the end of the year, Bien Hoa City will continue to perform such tasks as: preparing, submitting appraisal, approving contractor selection plan, organizing bidding... By June 2021, this project will be started.

The road along Dong Nai river, after completion of construction, will connect with Nguyen Van Tri street, forming a road along the East bank of Dong Nai river, extending from Bien Hoa city to Vinh Cuu district. In addition to creating a landscape along the Dong Nai River, this route will also share the traffic flow on Huynh Van Nghe Street.

According to Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Ho Van Ha, for the project to build a tunnel under Hoa An bridge to connect Nguyen Van Tri with a road along the Dong Nai river, which previously were 2 proposed plans of Bien Hoa City and Department of Transportation. “Due to the large disparity between the two investment plans, the Department of Planning and Investment has invited both units to discuss but has not yet agreed on a suitable plan” - Mr. Ho Van Ha said.

According to the calculation, the project will have a length of 260 meters, a width of 9 meters. It will be built under Hoa An Bridge and connect Nguyen Van Tri Street with a road along Dong Nai River.

Mr. Huynh Tan Loc said that recently, the Bien Hoa City Project Management Board has coordinated with other departments and agencies to survey, research and synthesize the proposal for the construction of Hoa An bridge tunnel construction project. “Currently, Bien Hoa City People's Committee has completed the investment policy proposal and submitted to the Department of Planning and Investment for appraisal at the end of May.” - Mr. Huynh Tan Loc said.

According to the Department of Planning and Investment, after receiving the investment policy proposal for the Hoa An bridge tunnel construction project, this unit has sent the comments of relevant departments and sectors. Up to now, the Department of Planning and Investment is synthesizing to register the Provincial People's Committee to hold a meeting of the Council, to appraise the investment policy for this project.
