Currently, Bien Hoa City has 6 industrial zones that are operating stably with more than 450 businesses leasing land for production and business. Over the past five years, industry has continued to play a key role in the city's economic development, with industrial production value increasing by nearly 11% per year on average. The city has also completed the investment in the infrastructure of Tan Hanh ceramic industrial cluster to relocate the ceramic production facilities out of the residential area, initially, 28 units have invested in this industrial cluster.

Along with industrial development, business services such as real estate, transportation, credit, ports, warehousing, logistics, post and telecommunications, health, culture, education and sports have developed rapidly. Tourism activities continue to be invested, upgraded, expanded, initially formed and put into operation a river tourism route, associated with Nguyen Van Tri pedestrian street.

From the strong development of industry, trade - service and tourism, it has greatly contributed to the budget collection. Over the past 5 years, Bien Hoa's budget revenue has reached more than VND 21,622 billion (an average increase of 13.41% per year), ranking at the top of the province in budget revenue. Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Bien Hoa City People's Committee Pham Anh Dung shared, despite the difficulties in revenue collection, Upon receiving the assigned targets of the province, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee instructed the City People's Committee to have practical solutions to implement and assign the plan to each unit, require each unit to have specific solutions to complete the assigned cost estimates. Therefore, every year the budget revenues in Bien Hoa exceed the estimate.

Being a city with strong industrial development, but the agricultural sector is not forgotten but developed towards high-tech agriculture in association with building a civilized city. As a result, by mid-2019, Bien Hoa has completed the task of building a new countryside and six communes have been upgraded to wards. Up to now, Bien Hoa has 29 wards/30 wards and communes.

During the past term, the Party Committee of Bien Hoa City has also led and directed a series of projects to gradually complete the appearance of a class 1 city and move towards building a smart city. Accordingly, the city has invested in building 48 technical infrastructure projects, with a total investment of more than VND 2,254 billion (including 36 traffic works and 12 water treatment works); 67 school and class projects; 33 works of working offices of ward and commune agencies and 20 resettlement residential areas. Through investment in infrastructure, focusing on big and urgent projects has had the effect of promoting socio-economic development, stabilizing people's lives; the urban appearance is more and more refined, the city appearance more and more beautiful.

Bien Hoa city to ‘break through’

Bien Hoa City Party Committee has seriously implemented the Central Resolution 4, term XI and XII on building and regulating the Party. Each year, in the spirit of Central Resolution 4, collectives and individuals in the city have identified 104 issues, outstanding and urgent cases that need to be addressed, such as the project of Long Hung open economic ecological urban area; the Sat market renovation and upgrading project; Nhon Trach water plant project; Phuoc Tan residential area - resettlement project; dealing with inundation in the city; solving the situation of 3-shift school; leveling, subdivision, sale, building illegally in some wards, communes, and so on. Up to now, a number of problems have been resolved, tightening discipline, prevent negative behaviors, contribute to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and the quality of cadres and party members; raising the sense of responsibility and service to local residents of cadres and party members. All violations are strictly disciplined.

From the results achieved in the implementation of the Resolution of the XIth Bien Hoa City Party Congress, term 2015-2020, the City Party Committee has drawn on some experiences. According to the Standing Deputy Secretary of Bien Hoa City Party Committee Huynh Tan Dat, first of all, it is necessary to pay attention to building and promoting the great unity of the people with the motto: Close, respect, trust and rely on the people; People know, discuss, do, and monitor; To maintain internal unity and unity on the basis of well implementing the principles of democratic centralization, self-criticism and criticism; To resolutely fight against all manifestations of factionalism, partial division, division causing disunity; Responsibilities of the Party Committee and the head of the Party Committee and leaders must be strengthened in performing duties, initiative, creativity, dare to think, dare to do, and dare to take responsibility for the interests of the Party Committee and city people; To promote democracy in parallel with maintaining discipline, resolutely fight with manifestations of violation of regulations and laws; To improve the state management effectiveness and efficiency, especially in construction, urban embellishment, planning and construction management; To focus on implementing breakthrough, urgent and pressing issues for the city construction and development process, etc.

The Party Committee of Bien Hoa City has identified the overall goal for the period 2020 - 2025, the most important thing is to build Bien Hoa city worthy of a grade-I urban area, with sustainable development. To realize the set goals, the city has set out 9 main groups of tasks and solutions. In which, many projects will be deployed for Bien Hoa's breakthrough development.

When the projects are completed, Bien Hoa's appearance will change markedly, meeting the expectations of its residents, worthy of being a modern city, political, economic and cultural center of the province.”
