Construction of Phan Thiet-Dau Giay to kick off in late September 2020

WEB PORTAL - At the field survey of site clearance for the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway project, led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung on August 21, and Thang Long Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport), the Investor of the Phan Thiet-Dau Giay Expressway project, said that this route will be started in late September 2020. The completion time of the project is expected to be 24 months after the commencement date. There will be 2 bidding packages to build this route.

The Phan Thiet-Dau Giay expressway project has a length of about 99 km, of which the section passing Dong Nai province is 51.5 km long, passing through Xuan Loc, Cam My, Thong Nhat and Long Khanh city districts. To implement the project, Dong Nai province has to acquire an area of about 412 hectares.

 

Currently, the ground clearance work in 3 localities including Thong Nhat district, Cam My district and Long Khanh city has basically been completed. Authorities are also carrying out the relocation of technical infrastructure works to hand over clean premises to investors.

As for Xuan Loc district, which is the locality with the largest land acquisition area, the compensation plan has also been approved for 723 cases (521 cases in phase 1 and 202 cases in phase 2). Currently, Xuan Loc District People’s Committee has completed payment of compensation and support for 531/723 cases. The locality is also continuing to pay compensation and support money for the remaining 192 cases.

 

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung requested localities and related units to complete the site clearance and hand over the entire clean site before the end of September to the investor; Local authorities need to strengthen the mobilisation of workers to hand over the site to the project. At the same time, they will also closely coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to solve problems in site clearance.
