Over the past time, the emulation movement of “Promoting innovations, improving techniques” launched by the Trade Union at all levels has attracted a large number of workers through enterprises. Accordingly, many innovative initiatives have helped businesses save its raw materials, ensure labor safety and meet requirements of production technology innovation.

Typical examples
For many years with Vietnam Precision Industrial Joint Stock Company (Trang Bom District), Mr. Le Quyet Thang, Head of Material Cutting Division, has had dozens of big and small initiatives to improve production machines better, helping businesses create quality products. Among his outstanding initiatives, there must be the project of improving the tole cutting machine to prevent scratching of raw materials as well as ensuring the safety of workers at work.
According to Mr. Thang, to implement this initiative, he designed the roller system, when cutting raw materials, the sheet will fall down and move along the roller to the chute, therefore, the worker does not need to stand and pull down the tole sheet. This initiative, when put into operation, has solved the problem of tole scratches as well as made the tole arrangement easy, ensuring quality when coming to the next stage.
And Mr. Nguyen Chanh Thong, an employee of Pancera International Joint Stock Company (Long Thanh District) with 16 years of experience, dedicates dozens of great initiatives to ensure a friendly and safe working environment for businesses. In particular, the initiative to use waste materials to create a vacuum cleaner for installation on the production line has been put into effective use. According to Mr. Thong, with a good and safe working environment, ensuring the health of employees, the operation will be more sustainable. Therefore, since joining the enterprise, he constantly improves to bring the best production environment for employees and the enterprise.
Ms. Mai Thi Huong, factory manager of Eclat Textile Co., Ltd (Vietnam) (Nhon Trach District) is also a person who has many initiatives to help businesses save materials in production. With the responsibility of managing 1.4 thousand garment workers, she always thinks about how to make the industry work to meet the daily product's target while ensuring quality and saving raw materials for the enterprise. Since then, she focused on observing and guiding workers to remove unnecessary steps to save sewing thread in each product. T This has saved her business 100 million VND per year for fashion sewing thread.
Prompt attention and reward of businesses
To encourage employees' initiative, businesses all have timely reward policies such as: cash bonus, salary increase, manager selection & team leader, manager or gift voucher, etc. This has created more motivation for workers to increasingly participate in initiative promotion movements, together with enterprises to develop its production.
Grassroots Trade Union President of Advanced International Multitech (Vietnam) Corporation Ltd (Nhon Trach District) Do Thi Thuy Kieu said that the movement to promote technical innovation is one of the important tasks of the Company. Therefore, every year, enterprises always set out targets for workers to implement improvement measures. Initiatives will be rewarded in 9 steps with the amount from VND 50,000 to VND 2 million per person (depending on big and small initiatives). Since implementing the incentive program, up to now, the percentage of non-standard goods has decreased, the rate of occupational accidents has been markedly improved. Particularly in the eight months of 2020, 23 initiatives have been successfully applied in production lines.
Chairman of the Labor Federation of Long Khanh City Truong Thi Bich Lien said that over the past time, in many enterprises, the grassroots trade unions have widely launched the emulation movement of good labor, creative labor, technical improvement, workmanship improvement and production quality, while improving workers' awareness, attitude, discipline, and responsibility. Typically at Cibao Company Limited (Long Khanh City), when participating in the movement of technical improvement, workers can improve their skills, increase their income and enjoy many good policies from enterprises. Therefore, in each year, the Company Union always replicates the typical examples for employees to study and participate. Particularly in 2019, there are 34 initiatives and 747 individuals being rewarded by typical enterprises with the amount of nearly VND 200 million.
According to the Provincial Confederation of Labor, from 2015 up to now, there have been over 967 thousand ideas, initiatives, designs, work parts of workers and employees of the whole province. From the effectiveness of emulation movements, especially good labor movement and technical innovation initiatives, the Provincial Labor Confederation has directed Trade Union at all levels to continue promoting, accompanying enterprises to innovate and develop.
