WEB PORTAL - Considering the first eight months of 2020, Dong Nai’s index of industrial production (IIP) grew by 5,38 percent compared to the same period of 2019. Of which, 10/27 manufacturing sectors with an increase of less than 5%, 10/27 sectors with an increase of over 5% and 7/27 of manufacturing sectors reported a negative growth.

Generally for first eight months of this year due to impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, industrial production still maintained its growth rate but at a low level. Many key markets such as the US and European Union countries have stopped importing some products, causing difficulties for production enterprises.
Specifically, the recorded increases of some industries were as follows: leather and related products manufacturing grew by 9,42%, mining sector grew by 6,45%, processing sector expanded by 5,84%, clothing production grew by 3,41%, textiles and garment up more than 3%, etc.
