WEB PORTAL – During the past time, The Provincial People's Committee (PPC) has instructed relevant departments and sectors to advise on its advocacy settlement allowing foreign experts, business managers, investors, high-skilled workers who work in investment projects in provincial enterprises to entry for the maintenance of business operations and assurance of regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.
Specifically, from May 15, 2020 to September 4, 2020, the PPC allowed 1,093 foreign experts, managers, high-skilled workers from 246 enterprises, mainly of Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese and some other nationalities to work in provincial enterprises including 965 people of 222 enterprises in industrial zones and 128 people of 24 enterprises outside industrial zones.
In addition, the PPC has approved the policy of allowing 26 relatives of said foreign experts and managers to enter Vietnam to live and study.
Up to now, all cases allowed entry are under right subjects, right demand and purpose of the labor use; while ensuring COVID-19 prevention and control under directions of the Prime Minister and the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
It is known that the above permission for foreigners is in accordance with Resolution No. 84/NQ-CP dated May 29, 2020 on tasks and solutions for dealing with difficulties in business operations, promoting disbursement in public investment and ensuring public order and safety during COVID-19 epidemic and Notice No. 238/TB-VPCP dated July 12, 2020 on conclusion of the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired the meeting on infection prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic.
