Strengthening the vaccination against the Covid-19

Ph.D.-Dr. Phan Huy Anh Vu, Director of the Department of Health, said that on August 30, the whole province carried out 168,991 Real Time-PCR (Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction) test samples, but only 1 positive case in the community; So far, Accumulation is 2,537 per 1,323,697 positive rapid test cases (accounting for 0.19%) and 25 per 161,434 pooled PCR positive samples (representing 0.015%).

However, on August 30, there were 660 new cases (up 46% compared to the previous day); in which, 12 cases of F0 are in the enterprises and the industrial zones. The source of infection in these enterprises is mainly due to contact with outside drivers when entering and picking up goods at the enterprise and some F0s transfering from F1.

Ph.D.-Dr. Vu noted that up to now, the districts and cities have basically completed the 3^rd phase of testing by the PCR method of 5-pooled samples. The localities that still have doubts without not be screened F0 cases yet such as districts: Nhon Trach, Vinh Cuu, Trang Bom and Bien Hoa City, they are actively planning to continue additional testing to achieve the goal  by September 05 that the whole province will separate all F0 case from the community and the F0 cases remain only in the treatment area.

Today, August 31, the Provincial People's Committee will issue the large-scale vaccination plan, so the localities immediately deploy vaccination. According to the provincial plan, the Pfizer vaccine is given to people over 65 years old; other vaccines are carried out in order of priority, with high-risk localities deploying first.

Particularly, Chang Shin Vietnam Company Ltd. (Vinh Cuu District) has sent a document to request 5,000 doses of Sinopham's vaccine to inject workers, the Department of Health has directed the Center for Disease Control of Dong Nai Province to coordinate with the company in ordet that today or at the latest, the workers will be injected these vaccines tomorrow morning.

Ph.D.-Dr. Nguyen Duc Son, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health, the Head of the Working Group of the Ministry of Health in Dong Nai Province noted that according to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee, on August 31, Dong Nai Province completed 3 phases of large-scale testing in the whole province. After these 3 phases, from now until September 05, additional testing will be carried out in communes, wards, towns, hamlets and residential quarters that are assessed as high risk in order to continue screening and separating F0 cases into the community. Learning from the experience of large-scale testing, in this additional testing, the localities need to develop a rigorous and scientific plan and can set up Zalo groups in each commune and residential area in order to manage names and phone number of each person to be sampled for testing; then they connect to the district and provincial levels so that when needed, they can check and monitor whether each person has taken samples for testing.

Ph.D.-Dr. Son said that Sinopham's vaccine is one of the vaccines that has been recognized by the World Health Organization. The vaccines recognized by the World Health Organization are equally effective. In fact, in Vietnam, Quang Ninh Province has the earliest vaccination rate of Sinopham’s vaccine, so Quang Ninh Province has had very good results in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic. All kinds of vaccines are fully injected with 2 doses, the amount of antibodies against the epidemic is very large. However, only 1 injection is precious because the vaccine has the lowest effect compared to other vaccines when injected into the body, it produces antibodies so that the body can achieve immunity above 50%.

Concluding the conference, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee stated that, in order to achieve the goal that by September 05, Dong Nai Province will no longer have F0 cases in the community, the localities will immediately plan today to check which areas need additional testing. When testing, making a list of testers, taking samples and transferring samples to the testing facilities must be implemented seriously.

At the same time, in order to avoid spreading the epidemic, the localities continue to lock the entrance and exit to residential areas; take good care of social security and propagate to the people to understand the harmful effects of the epidemic. When propagandizing, it is necessary to persevere so that people understand correctly and act correctly because awareness is a process. At present, propagandizing people carries out adequate testing according to the local plans and vaccination; striving this week or next week at the latest completes 500,000 doses of Sinopham's vaccine that Dong Nai Province has just been allocated. Then the province continues to propose the Government to allocate the vaccines to Dong Nai Province in order to ensure enough vaccines injecting for the entire population. Celebrating the National Day September 02 of this year, the whole province focused on vaccination against the Covid-19. At the same time, with support from organizations and businesses, Dong Nai Province is given 30 thousand bottles of the Covid-19 treatment medicines, hoping that doctors will use it effectively so that many patients can recover soon and reduce the number of deaths at the lowest level.
