Recently, the Department of Industry and Trade has sent a document on requesting the enteprises operating in trade centers, supermarkets and chains of convenient store in the province to review and consolidate their plans of stocking up on goods sources, especially the essential items such as: rice, pork, chicken, eggs, seafood, vegetables, instant noodles, spice of all kinds (salt, sugar, monosodium glutamate - MSG, seasoning powder), cooking oil, fish sauce, soy sauce.

At the same time, the supermarkets, trade centers, and chains of convenient store need to be ready to supply the market in case of the more complicated development of the epidemic, providing information on contact points (full name and phone numbers) for the localities to actively contact and coordinate in the supply of essential goods.
In addition, the above-mentioned units need to report the supply of essential items to the Department of Industry and Trade, report daily to monitor and coordinate when there are fluctuations in price increase, scarcity of goods for the essential items in order to coordinate and regulate the goods. In particular, it is necessary to strictly implement the regulations on prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic under the guidance of competent state agencies in business activities, arrangement, transportation, delivery of goods, etc.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the province currently has 74 operating retail markets and Dau Giay agricultural products and food wholesale markets (Thong Nhat District). Beside that, there are 09 supermarkets, 227 convenient stores, 215 price-stabilizing fixed selling points that are operating to serve the people's shopping needs for essential goods. In addition, the localities in the province have developed plans to provide the essential food to wards/communes, etc.
