In the period of industrialization, as an industrial province, Dong Nai's efforts to supply electricity to factories and industrial parks (IPs) are always an important task.
In the future, the electricity industry will continue to closely follow the provincial development programs, especially development plan for the industrial parks and sector plan to implement the task of power supply.

of 36.6 billion VND for a new transformer installation.
Adhering to planning for power supply
Currently, Dong Nai has become one of the largest foreign investment attraction in the country with 31 IPs already in operation, many small and medium industrial clusters are forming and developing. The province also concentrates on building and developing high-tech industrial parks to attract investment projects with advanced technology and procducts that are globally competitive and cause little environmental pollution. This requires that the electrical infrastructure is synchronous and meets high technical standards to ensure operation of the power system, increase reliability and improve production and business efficiency associated with environmental protection.
Following up the planning and continuing to invest in power supply projects for the IPs, in 2020 alone, Dong Nai Electricity has and will put into use of numerous transformer stations to meet electricity demand of enterprises. These are the transformer stations in the area of Dau Giay Industrial Park, Loc An - Binh Son Industrial Park and the upcoming Dinh Quan Industrial Park.
In particular, Binh Son 110kV transformer station has just been invested with 36.6 billion VND for installing a new transformer to ensure power supply for Loc An - Binh Son Industrial Park and electricity demand for construction of Long Thanh International Airport. This is a project completed by the electricity industry to celebrate the eleventh Provincial Party Congress and the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Dong Nai Electrical Industry. Thanks to the accelerated construction progress, the project was put into use 3 months in advance, saving the state budget more than 4 billion dong.
According to Mr. Ho Minh Quang, Deputy Director in charge of basic construction of Dong Nai Electricity, the unit will continue to do well with its mission, bringing the flow of electricity to effectively serve the development and modernization process of our home province.
Milestones
According to the leader of Dong Nai Electricity Company Limited (Dong Nai Electricity), since 2005, the Government has made a policy of making Dong Nai a key industrial province of the country. Since that moment, Dong Nai Electricity has boldly invested in building grid systems and 110 kV transformer stations in IPs and accelerated the construction progress of basic works. That is both an opportunity and a challenge which is not inconsiderable.
Continuing to implement the socio-economic development target of the province, in the period 2011-2015, the company implemented 398 projects with a total investment of more than 1.6 trillion dong; in the 2016-2019 period, it implemented 690 projects with a total investment of 2,574 billion dong, an increase of 57% compared to the period 2011-2015. Whereas in 2000, the 110kV power grid in Dong Nai province only had 65km, the company has invested in and put into operation 27 110kV transformer stations with a total length of 560km so far.
The average commercial electricity output increases by 8.5%/ year, of which the proportion of electricity supplied to industrial production accounts for 75-78% of the total commercial electricity output. The commercial electricity output reached 1.2 billion kWh in 1999, 3 billion kWh in 2005, 6.27 billion kWh in 2010, and 13.88 billion kWh in 2019, which are truly major efforts in power supply.
