Preventive measures required in Public places

In public places such as supermarkets, markets, hospitals, parks, etc., in Bien Hoa City, In addition to those who perform well in wearing masks to prevent and control epidemics COVID–19, there are still many cases where people do not wear masks. Although the management board of Bien Hoa market has set up bulletin boards to remind people to wear masks and wash their hands before entering the market, many marketers stil ignore them. Some small merchants even have a mask on their face, but they wear masks underneath their nose. To explain about this, a small merchant said: “Wearing a full face mask is very suffocating and difficult to breathe, and now the epidemic has been controlled, so it is not necessary to always cover up as before”.

In some restaurants and beverage bars on major roads in Bien Hoa City, most diners do not pay attention to wearing masks when communicating. At a milk tea shop on Vo Thi Sau street, most of the young people who come here sit in groups of 3–6 people without wearing masks, talking and laughing, while the customers in the shop are busy, everyone arranges rows of jostles at a fairly close distance.

The situation of negligence to wear a mask when going to public places with a large concentration of people is also observed in some movie theaters. Many young people said that wearing masks is no longer necessary because the disease situation in Vietnam is very positive, especially in Dong Nai province, there are no cases in the community.

*Stay vigilant amid ongoing COVID–19

Talking about said situation, Dr. Phan Huy Anh Vu, Director of the Provincial Department of Health, Deputy Head of the COVID–19 Provincial Prevention and Control Department said that currently, wearing a mask when going to public places is necessary. This is one of the simple and effective anti–epidemic measures of COVID–19, when you use your mask correctly, it will help you both protect yourself and your community. Not only wearing masks, but people should raise awareness about epidemic prevention according to the 5K message of the Ministry of Health (in Vietnamese): (Khau trang) (Facemask) – (Khu khuan) Disinfection – (Khoang cach) Distance – (Khong tu tap) No Gathering – (Khai bao y te) Health Declaration.

According to Vice Chairman of Bien Hoa City People’s Committee Phan Chi Cuong, the risk of COVID–19 spreading in the community deemed to be remained. Currently, masks are not subject to sharp rise and the supply is also plentiful that can meet the needs of citizens. Vietnam has seemingly managed to get the outbreak under control, however, the COVID-19 outbreak is forecasted to continue to be complicated. Therefore, for those who do not take measures for disease prevention and control as recommended by the authorities, Bien Hoa City will proceed to handle according to regulations.
