In the last months of the year, the labor market has had many positive signals when many enterprises in the province have recovered production, increased exports and promoted the recruitment of more workers, aiming to meet production demand of year-end orders. Industries that have a large demand for labor are footwear, textiles, electronics, delivery, real estate, etc.

Laborers come to apply for jobs at the Provincial Job Service Center
Variety of Jobs
Recently, Minh Tri Manufacturing Trading Joint Stock Company (Trang Bom District), due to its production expansion, joined the job exchange to recruit more human resources. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lam, Head of Human Resources Department of this Company said that after the epidemic, wood production orders have increased and can be maintained stable until 2021, so businesses need to recruit 200 more unskilled workers to serve production needs. This Company is creating favorable conditions for workers who lose their jobs in the epidemic with stable income, and arrange jobs suitable to each person’s ability.
Similarly, after being affected by COVID-19 that the Company had to leave thousands of employees, currently Taekwang Vina Industrial Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa City) has stabilized production and orders have recovered, so they have a need to recruit about 2,000 unskilled workers. However, the recruitment has many difficulties, because businesses expanding production are also in need of labor in large quantities, while the labor supply is not enough to meet the needs of enterprises.
Mr. Pham Duy Tuan, an employee of the Human Resources Department of Taekwang Vina Industrial Joint Stock Company, said that since August, they have had many orders so they started recruiting workers again in large numbers. This Company is willing to accept unskilled workers, unemployed workers, jobless people to retrain to work or arrange suitable personnel, although experienced workers are still preferred. However, the number of workers coming to find jobs is very limited.
At Tuc Thoi Service Corporation (Bien Hoa City), there is a need to recruit many workers with delivery jobs. The representative of the company’s Human Resources Department said that Dong Nai is a potential market to develop in the field of fast delivery, so the demand for recruiting employees to develop this field is very large. Only workers aged 18–50 years, having motorcycles and smartphones can undertake this job.
Efforts to connect Businesses and Employees
Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Tram, Deputy Director of the Provincial Job Service Center, said that after the COVID-19 was controlled, recovery enterprises needed to recruit employees. Moreover, the recruitment is also easier, accepting labor training for suitable positions, instead of requiring experience as before. Therefore, employees also have many options for the jobs that are suitable for them at the end of the year.
To help employees have stable jobs, recently the Provincial Job Service Center cooperated with Lam Dong Provincial Job Service Center to organize ‘Job Fair 2020’. This fair day has attracted 150 enterprises to register for recruitment, including 14 enterprises inside and outside the province to participate in direct interviews, attracting more than 500 employees to consult and find jobs. Accordingly, over 200 employees have found jobs in those enterprises. In addition, the ‘job transaction floor’ in September has attracted more than 50 enterprises to participate in recruiting and creating jobs for over 600 employees.
Mr. Do Van Kien (living in Long Binh Ward, Bien Hoa City), one of the workers who successfully interviewed the delivery job, said: “As an elderly employee, after a period of job loss due to epidemics, I have to manage in many ways to make an income. Choosing a delivery job, I will take the initiative in taking my children to school. I hope that my new job will have many advantages, help me have a stable income and improve my life.”
Mr. Nguyen Cong Ky, Chairman of the Labor Confederation of Vinh Cuu District, said that from now to the end of the year, recruitment demand of human resources of enterprises, production and business establishments in the district will increase, in which the wood industry enterprises will increase its recruitment of unskilled labor to urgently export to the European market. “During the last epidemic, the district has about 50,000 workers whose jobs and incomes have been affected. Therefore, the re-recruitment of enterprises will partly create jobs for unemployed and elderly workers” - Mr. Ky shared.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Tram, currently the Provincial Job Service Center is implementing solutions to enhance information on the labor market and consulting activities to improve employment opportunities for employees. Specifically, the Center will collect information about the recruitment needs of enterprises as well as the need to find jobs of employees to build a database of supply and demand. Based on that, the Center will connect with employers in many ways; while strengthening vocational training for unemployed workers so that they can soon return to the labor market and have stable jobs.
