On November 4, Dong Nai General Hospital, in collaboration with Orbis International in Vietnam and ON Semiconductor Corporation, held the opening ceremony of the first refractive center in Dong Nai. The refractive center is built with specialized refractive equipment, which is capable of providing glasses service with medical quality standard. The doctors and medical staff of Ophthalmology in charge of the Refractive Center are well trained in refraction, able to examine and treat well diseases related to refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung, Acting General Director of ON Semiconductor Vietnam Factory, said that through the Refractive Center, the sponsors wanted to improve the quality of eye care services in Dong Nai, specifically aimed at those in need of special help such as the elderly and children, thereby demonstrating the social responsibility of ON Semiconductor Corporation to the community.
On the occasion of opening and responding to the Month of Action for the Elderly, Dong Nai General Hospital organized free general health check-ups and eye exams for more than 40 elderly people living in difficult circumstances in Tam Hoa Ward, Bien Hoa City. The elderly coming to see doctors will be consulted about common diseases in old age in general and eye diseases in particular. The Hospital will donate prescription glasses for cases in need without correct glasses first. Specific treatment will be planned for more severe cases.

The refractive center is located in the Ophthalmology department of Dong Nai General Hospital, which is one of the parts of the Good Sight Good Life Project sponsored by ON Semiconductor Corporation, to be implemented in 3 years (2020-2023) with total sponsorship of about 5 billion.
