Coordinate to speed up

Dong Nai has an important geographical position, located at the eastern gateway of the country's largest urban center - Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, the province plays an important role in traffic connection, especially highways in the southern region.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Cao Tien Dung said that over the past time, the Government has directed the Ministry of Transport to deploy many investment projects to build transport infrastructure on a large scale, with breakthroughs through the province area such as the expressways of Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay, Ben Luc - Long Thanh.

Dong Nai has also proposed to the Government to soon invest and build highways as planned in the province such as Bien Hoa - Vung Tau, Dau Giay - Da Lat. Dong Nai is committed to implementing many drastic measures to speed up the clearance work for projects, including highway construction projects.

Simultaneously, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Cao Tien Dung also said that he would direct localities to create favorable conditions for contractors to construct expressway projects that are being implemented in the area with enough materials for project construction.

With the desire to quickly complete the expressway network in the area, Dong Nai has proposed to the Government to support capital sources to invest and build highways. "Infrastructure projects, including transport infrastructure, when completed and put into use, will create a new motivation for the province to develop socio-economic and attract investment" - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr.. Cao Tien Dung emphasize.

Increase connection, promote development 

In 2015, when completed and put into use, the HCM City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway helped the vehicles from Ho Chi Minh City to Dau Giay intersection shorten 20km and the time to only 1 hour, 2 hours less than following the old route.

Similarly, planned expressways such as: Ben Luc - Long Thanh, Dau Giay - Phan Thiet; Bien Hoa - Vung Tau and Dau Giay - Da Lat, when completed, will also increase the connection, shorten the traffic time between Dong Nai and Binh Thuan, Lam Dong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces as well as the in the Southeast with the South West, the Central Highlands and the South Central. This has a very important significance in promoting socio-economic development of Dong Nai in particular and the Southern key economic region in general.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway on September 30, Standing Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Truong Hoa Binh said that the development of synchronous infrastructure, especially infrastructure for communication communication is an important task, the top priority of the Party and State and is one of the three strategic breakthroughs of the country. In recent years, the investment and putting into use of the expressways has had a great impact on the economic development, becoming a driving force to awaken the potential of many regions and regions. The more opening of the highway, the more developing of economy, and the people benefit from this investment and development.

For example, the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, the project implementation will connect and promote effectively the expressway sections that have been and are being invested in the two localities of Dong Nai and Binh Thuan. The project shortens the journey from Ho Chi Minh City to economic and tourist centers, opening up investment opportunities in the South Central region. Overcoming traffic congestion and reducing frequent traffic accidents in the region, solving the needs of passenger and cargo transportation between the central hub area of the southern key economic region with the regions in the Southeast and South Central regions as well as from the North to the South. “The completion of the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway will be a kick-start for the provinces and project areas passed by, which are directly Dong Nai and Binh Thuan provinces for socio-economic development, attracting investment and contributing to exploiting all the potentials and strengths of the localities ”- Standing Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Truong Hoa Binh emphasized.

According to Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong, the Long Thanh international airport and highway construction project is an opportunity for Dong Nai to "take off".
