With this goal, after the smart urban operation center is activated, the parameters are provided with the most accuracy, Long Khanh City will become the second smart city of Dong Nai.
Smart city database update
Establishment of a smart city in Long Khanh will be based on a modern and synchronous technology foundation, inheriting and maximizing the results of projects that have been invested, with high connectivity, and ensuring security, safety and confidentiality such as traffic camera systems and security cameras in residential areas. On that basis, an open platform and data will be established to encourage businesses and citizens to participate in.
Since the beginning, the leaders of Long Khanh City have determined that the process of building urban management with modern technology should be based on a principle of taking people, tourists and businesses as the key of the construction strategy and smart city development; at the same time offering highly feasible solutions for immediate and early implementation and bringing practical benefits to residents, tourists, businesses and authorities.
Fields deployed on Long Khanh City's smart urban space operating system are being updated with information in 8 fields with specific tasks. Specifically, the digital government sector will have 7 categories including Building a smart city operating center, cloud infrastructure, and deploying Long Khanh online system - connecting people - businesses to the government. Each category will have different goals like smart radio system; information assurance and security system for Long Khanh City State management agency; building an integrated, shared data warehouse in the city; and administrative violation handling software system. In addition, other fields such as transport, tourism, health, education, planning, urban development and technical infrastructure, etc. are harmoniously connected between the contents of each field as well as creating a synchronous connection between the fields during the project implementation.
Expectation for a modern urban city
After officially being upgraded to the city, since June 2019, Long Khanh has made many changes, especially infrastructure, public works, and rural transportation invested and renovated to significantly transformed appearance of the urban city. It is widely expected that Long Khanh City will continue to make breakthroughs to become a young city with great potential.
Mr. Tran Quang Thang (living in Xuan Binh Ward) said that he has lived for a long time in Long Khanh city, so he has clearly witnessed daily changes of the city. In particular, since being officially recognized as a city, Long Khanh has experienced a robust transformation. Sharing about the smart urban construction policy of the local government, Mr. Thang said in excitement: “Currently, most people have a smart phone, if the city is operated by technology, the interaction and connection among people and cities is not difficult. I hope this project is deployed soon to experience an interaction with government through a digital space.
With the same viewpoint with Mr. Thang, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoang (living in Xuan An Ward) also advised, at present, a number of provinces and cities across the country have established a smart city operating system. Although Long Khanh is a young city, for over the past time, it has still achieved a fast urbanization rate. Moreover, as a latecomer, Long Khanh should also learn experience from early comers for synchronization between the speed of urban development and state management, to create a civilized and modern Long Khanh City.
According to Mr. Pham Viet Phuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Khanh City, Long Khanh City is currently working with Viettel Dong Nai consulting unit to build a Smart urban operation center in Long Khanh City. The Smart urban operation center will be built and integrated with data in the fields of government administration, planning, urban development and technical infrastructure, tourism, health, education, transportation, and environment. In order to ensure the progress of project implementation, the Chairman has directed the relevant branches of the city to check, review and provide information requested by the consultant to quickly build a smart urban operation center for the city.
