The Dong Nai Province’s Command Center for Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control said that on October 03, the medical forces have injected more than 32,400 doses of Covid-19 vaccine to over 30 thousand people with the 1st dose and nearly 2 thousand people with 2nd dose. So far, the province has injected over 2.1 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine to more than 1.9 million people (accounting for 86.17% of people over 18 years old in the whole province), of which more than 200 thousand people have received the full dose (accounting for 8.89%).
Also on October 03, the province has recorded 701 new cases of Covid-19 infection, with 3 cases detected through community screening (01 case in Bien Hoa City, 01 case in Vinh Cuu District and 01 cases in Trang Bom District), 186 cases in the lockdown areas and 512 cases in the isolation areas.
For the day, 585 patients of Covid-19 infections have been cured and discharged from hospital, and handed over to the localities for being continued health monitoring as prescribed; the number of deaths per day has been decreased by only 01 case.
The localities have recorded the number of infections in the day, including: Bien Hoa City with 286 cases, Nhon Trach District with 197 cases, Vinh Cuu District with 22 cases, Trang Bom District with 152 cases, Long Thanh District with 22 cases, Thong Nhat District with 04 cases, Cam My District with 11 cases, Xuan Loc District with 02 cases and Tan Phu with 05 cases.
According to the recommendations of the health sector, the localities should strengthen the inspection and supervision of cross-infection in concentrated isolation areas and hospitals, monitor health in the area for cases with a history of trafficking for medical examination and treatment at hospitals. The testing, screening and strictly control the outside source of infection to the companies implementing the “3 things on the spot” option should be strengthened.
