Enterprises focuses on technology development

Currently, more and more domestic enterprises in general and in Dong Nai in particular pay attention to and towards sustainable development through the production of products and goods that meet the criteria of green, clean, safe and quality.

Towards ‘green production’

 

The 'greening' of production has brought many benefits for enterprises such as: efficiency in using raw materials, energy and water; valuable reuse of finished products; reduction in cost of treatment and disposal of solid waste, waste water and emissions, which creating the image of a ‘green business’. In recent years, businesses in the province have made certain efforts and changes in promoting sustainable consumption and encouraging consumers to choose green, clean products that are both beneficial to public health and environmental protection.

 

Mr. Phan Van Thien, Deputy General Director of Bibica Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park), said that in addition to the roadmap for standardizing product quality through proactively investing in machinery lines and modern equipment according to European and American standards, this Company also aims at green, clean production criteria. “Bibica is gradually reducing the use of plastic packaging and replacing it with paper packaging that is more environmentally friendly. The trend of green and clean production is an increasingly selective factor for consumers, increasing the value of goods.” – said Mr. Thien.

 

Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Tan Phu, Director of Nutriworld Co., Ltd. (Thong Nhat District), a company specializing in providing packaged wood-ear mushroom products, said his company always focuses on using natural preliminary processing methods, minimizing chemical impacts on the manufacturing and packaging process. In addition, this company also invested in a packaging line to gradually replace non-biodegradable plastic bags, minimizing environmental impacts, thereby aiming at green, clean and safe production criteria.

 

According to Mr. Dang Tuong Khanh, Director of Cacao Trong Duc Company Limited (Dinh Quan District), after his company's products achieved OCOP certification (One commune One product Program), his company has invested in ultra-fine cocoa powder grinding system based on Japanese technology with a total investment of nearly VND 9 billion to enhance the value of the company's cocoa powder.

 

Many support programs

 

Dong Nai has always affirmed that it will accompany and support businesses in production and business, and this has been done for a long time so far, through many terms rather than only in a short period. Since 2016, the provincial leadership has issued a decision on the Science and Technology Program to support businesses to improve their competitiveness, application of advanced quality management, intellectual property protection in the integration process from 2016 to 2020.

 

Currently, the province is also focusing on implementing the ‘Project on Improving the competitiveness of agricultural products of Dong Nai province’ in the context of international economic integration. In particular, the key products such as rubber, coffee, cashew, pepper, fresh fruits, etc., which still have many competitive advantages when participating in export markets because of their large area, especially attracting large corporations to invest in deep processing of these items. In addition, there is a scheme to promote mechanization to reduce agricultural losses by 2020 with orientation to 2030, creating a driving force for agricultural restructuring in the province.

 

In addition, in order to achieve the goal of sustainable development, the provincial People's Committee has issued a mechanism to encourage and support enterprises operating in implementing technology transformation to save energy and raw materials; providing mandatory criteria and requirements on environment and construction for new investment projects, and so on.
