73% of enterprises recovered its production

WEB PORTAL – According to Deputy Head of Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority Pham Van Cuong, as of early August 2020, 150/207 businesses affected by COVID-19 have recovered their production, accounting for 73% overall. As a result, nearly 24.1 thousand workers were returned to work - out of a total of over 32.8 thousand labors who had to stop and postpone their employment due to the effects of such pandemic.

Amongst the enterprises affected by this pandemic, there are 61 ones that have to put all productions on hold and up to now, 30 ones have been put back into operation, accounting for nearly 50%. In addition, 62 enterprises affected by COVID-19 which have restored their production, said they are expected to recruit more new employees in the last months of 2020, with nearly 12 thousand employees.

 

Affected businesses included in several different sectors such as footwear, textiles, wood products, textile fibers, electronics, etc. However, the evidence of surveys suggests that enterprises in the manufacturing of electronic components, electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) have the highest recovery rate with 92% in the recovery of production and business activities.
