Exploit local strengths

The feasibility study project on sustainable development of agriculture with high technology application of Israel in Dong Nai province until 2025, with a vision to 2030, sets out the goal of accelerating the transfer and application of high technology of Israel in Dong Nai produces strong agricultural products on a large scale with international productivity and quality. Focusing on building a closed value chain, creating brand names to contribute to improving farmers' income and quality of life.

In the immediate future, in the period 2020-2025, the value of agricultural production will reach 4.5%/year, the average agricultural production per hectare will reach about VND 300 million, with over 53.3% being the value of agricultural high technology.

The cultivating models applying high technology in the project are divided into 4 groups: the breakthrough model of Group A is the new varieties of agricultural products with great potential for export markets; The staple model of group B, the traditional model of group C is the group of key agricultural products and traditional agricultural products available locally and the non-investment model is the group of products proposed not to be implemented. The Israeli technologies applied in the project include: mesh house technology, economical irrigation technology, automatic fertilizer technology, automatic control technology, application of mechanization in production, and automation in the project. preservation. The project will implement pilot models invested by the State effectively and will be transferred to farmers and cooperatives.

Ms. Mai Thi Hai, Director of 3A Educational Technology Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City), the project consultant, said that the project's point of view is to apply advanced technology to improve productivity. and the quality of agricultural products according to international standards associated with environmental protection, energy saving in production and quality management of agricultural products. Exploiting and effectively using Dong Nai's own advantages in the development of agricultural production. Build a closed value chain for each type of product, control from seed to tree consumption. Focusing on the training of human resources of the province in agriculture with high technology application and related fields. The most important goal is to improve the income and quality of life of the rural population; improving the status of rural people, helping people get rich.

Among the 4 farming groups applying high technology in the project, the main model of group A, including: Hass avocado, passion fruit, yellow skin dragon fruit, aromatic MD2 and Cavendich banana are considered a breakthrough group for creating new products. for Dong Nai with high economic value, favored by the export market.

Israel is a desert country but has a very developed agriculture, good exports to difficult markets are worth learning. According to Mr. Ha Duy Binh, Chairman of 3A Educational Technology Joint Stock Company, currently 80% of Israeli agricultural products are exported to the European market. Participating in the project, they are willing to share production experiences to experiences in chain construction, sales methods ... Feasibility study on application of Israeli technology for sustainable agricultural development, Dong Nai only selects the the one that is best applicable, most suitable for Vietnam. The Israeli experts participating in the project will be present in Dong Nai, continue to research and propose solutions and accompany farmers until the product is released.

Mr. Binh cited: “I take the example that Israel has researched Hass avocado variety, currently 80% of avocado production on the export market is this avocado variety. Israeli agricultural experts come to Vietnam, ready to join farmers to grow Hass avocado products with export quality. We also look forward to exporting this product to the European market”.

In particular, the breakthrough model group A is a new breed group, so it should be deployed first. This new crop group will be put into trial planting at Dong Nai Center for Application of Biotechnology (Cam My district), effectively replicating in practice.
