 *Calling for high-tech projects

Over the last five years, FDI enterprises in the province often import new and modern machines for its production, changing old technological production lines with the aim of increasing productivity, product quality, reducing labor force and contributing to environmental protection. Therefore, economic restructuring has been on the right track. The production value of the high-tech industry has raised from 1% in 2015 to over 5% by 2020.

Director of Department of Planning and Investment Ho Van Ha emphasized: “Dong Nai has attracted selective FDI investment for many years, so the economy has moved in the right track according to the proposed Resolution. In particular, the province has prioritized the selection of high-tech projects, modern technology, supporting industries, hence Dong Nai has become a major supplier of input products for the country's industry and for export”. Early selection in attracting FDI, this locaty is also the leading place in terms of trade surplus, and its trade surplus increases year by year.

While attracting new high-tech FDI inflows, the province will also mobilize previously invested FDI enterprises with outdated technology to convert modern production machines to serve the increasingly demanding orders of domestic and foreign partners. Over the past time, many FDI enterprises in the province have changed their machines, gradually applying 4.0 technology in production such as: Meggitt (Vietnam) Co.,Ltd.; Fujitsu Computer Products of Vietnam, Inc. – Bien Hoa 2 IP; Schaeffler Vietnam Co., Ltd – Amata IP; etc.

*Attracting FDI in many sectors

Dong Nai is calling for FDI investment in many different fields such as: eco-tourism, logistics, commerce, technical infrastructure, and so on.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Kim Bang said: “Dong Nai has planned more than 20 eco-tourism projects on forests, lakes and waterfalls to invite FDI and domestic enterprises to invest in. Dong Nai's tourism also possesses many untapped potentials, if inviting large corporations with capital and experience to invest in, it will create a breakthrough in Dong Nai economic development”. If tourism is well developed, it will boost both trade and services.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong requested: “The province must continue to improve its investment environment, create favorable conditions to increase the attraction of FDI inflows into the province, especially fields with great potential. In particular, localities should pay attention to bringing projects into district-level land use planning, synchronizing planning, so that when businesses implement projects quickly and soon put into operation, they will contribute to the development of the province”.

In order to welcome high-quality FDI inflows in the coming period, Dong Nai is preparing well in terms of technical infrastructure, planning and land.
