WP - The People's Committee of Dong Nai Province has just issued the Decision approving the bidding documents to select an investor to implement the project to build a road to Phuoc An port, Nhon Trach District (from the intersection with Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway to Phuoc An port) in the form of a public private partnership, a Build - Operate - Transfer (BOT) contract with a total investment of more than 1000 billion VND.

Specifically, in Decision No. 3210/QD-UBND dated September 3, 2020 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigning the Department of Transport to be the state agency with the right to perform functions and tasks of the bid solicitor, organize investor selection and post notices of bid invitation in accordance with current law. The Department of Planning and Investment is responsible for affixing the appraisal seal to bidding documents for investor selection once approved.
The goal of the construction project, "The road connecting to Phuoc An port" is to build a complete traffic route and technical infrastructure connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway and Road 319 of Nhon Trach District. This is also the only route connecting from Phuoc An port to the region. Therefore, when the project is accomplished, it will promote transportation of goods from industrial zones of Nhon Trach District and Ho Chi Minh City to seaports belonging to group 5 seaport system and Cai Mep - Thi Vai port; help shorten the journey and reduce freight costs, and improve competitiveness of goods when transported through this route.
The route will meet the standard of grade II urban road (management), the design speed is 60km/ h, with the starting point at the intersection with the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway and the end point at the port of Phuoc An, with 5.77 km long and 19m - wide roadbed (of which the road surface is 10.5m wide, the right side of the road is 6m, the left side is 2.5m). In addition, on the route, two reinforced concrete bridges are also built (the bridge deck is 12.85m wide, 33m long and 682m long). The project has a total investment of about 1,042 billion dong from the selected investor's capital. The project implementation period is expected to be in 2020 and 2021.
