Wood products exported nearly US$1.1 billion

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, wood export turnover in the first six months of 2021 reached nearly US$1.1 billion, up 73% over the same period last year. Currently, the export of wood products accounts for about 9.3% of the province's total export turnover. Dong Nai's wood products have been sold by businesses to more than 50 countries and territories around the world. Dong Nai is one of the 5 provinces and cities with the largest wood export turnover in the country.

The major markets for selling wood products of Dong Nai include the United States, Japan, Korea, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Specifically, in the first 6 months of this year, Dong Nai exported wood products to the US with US$763 million, accounting for nearly 71% of the export turnover of this industry. Japanese market with US$90 million; Korean market with US$89 million; Canada market with US$21 million and Britain with US$18 million. In which, most of the major markets increased their wood imports from Dong Nai in large quantities.
