Facing the situation that many traditional markets in Bien Hoa City had to temporarily close to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic, the demand for shopping at retail channels: supermarkets, convenient stores increased dramatically, Deputy Director of Department of Industry and Trade Le Van Loc said, the Department has directed supermarkets, convenient store chains, etc. in Bien Hoa City to increase the amount of essential goods supplied, increase operating time to meet the purchase demand of the people, to guide the customers into shopping in groups, limit gatherings of people, encourage customers to shop in sufficient quantity, limit hoarding and hoarding too much.
Leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade shared with people who come to shop at Co.opmart Bien Hoa that the source of goods is still abundant, hoping people should shop in normal quantities, not hoard too much.
The supply of essential goods, fresh food such as pork, chicken, vegetables, tubers, fruits... for supermarkets and markets in the province is still abundant. Therefore, leaders of the Department hope that people should not focus on buying too much because of the hoarding mentality, which will affect the prevention and control of the epidemic.
At the same time, according to Mr. Loc, the Department has contacted the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City to strengthen security forces to ensure security and order at supermarkets; coordinate in developing and implementing a plan to supply goods at the isolation area according to the scenario developed in the Plan No. 1393/KH dated April 1, 2020 of the Department of Industry and Trade on ensuring the supply of goods for the consumption needs of people in the isolation situation (1 group, 1 neighborhood/hamlet or 1 town/ward/commune) due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic. In which, goods supply groups will be established; review and connect with large goods suppliers and price-stabilizing goods suppliers in the area to ensure goods are supplied to people, especially for people in wards and blockade areas according to the scenario forecasted in the above plan.
In addition, online sales channels are strengthened by many supermarkets and convenient stores in Bien Hoa City. The Department of Industry and Trade has made and publicized a list of convenient stores, online sales channels of supermarkets, convenient store chains, etc. in Bien Hoa City for people to easily follow.
