On the morning of July 15, a representative of the grassroots Trade Union of Tae Kwang Vina Industrial Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa City) said that the company has just announced the temporary suspension of two factories with nearly 14,000 employees to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.
Specifically, VT2 Factory (belonging to Agtex Long Binh Industrial Zone) with more than 12,000 employees and VT3 Factory in Buu Hoa Ward with over 1.5 thousand employees. The period of stop working is from July 15 to the end of this week, then based on the actual situation, it will be decided and notified to employees.
Attendance check and salary will be managed according to each related group, which is determined as follows: For employees from non-isolated areas, they will be entitled to annual leave from the remaining year of 2021. If the annual leave expires, employees will receive a minimum wage of VND170,000 per day; For employees from isolated areas, they will be entitled to quarantine leave according to the local government and receive 75% of the basic salary and salary allowance. Based on the production situation and job demand, some employees will be mobilized to the company to work, and the employees will receive the full salary. The company will support accommodation and meals.
Previously, the Company organized Covid-19 testing for employees at the two factories above and found a number of positive cases for SARS-CoV-2. During this time, the Company is continuing to coordinate with the Dong Nai Center for Disease Control to disinfect the workshops and assess the safety level.
Eclat Textile Co., Ltd (Nhon Trach District) has temporarily stopped production from July 14 and given nearly 5,000 workers a break to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic. Previously, the company organized Covid-19 testing for high-risk employees and in hostels in the district and found a number of positive cases for SARS-CoV-2. In the coming days, the Company will continue to test for Covid-19 for all employees.
Meanwhile, at Nam Yang Song May Co., Ltd., organized Covid-19 testing for 2,4 thousand employees when a suspected case was detected at the Company. Currently, all factories with infected cases are off work. The company has highly implemented solutions to prevent epidemics and disinfected production workshops.
