From factories and workshops to construction sites, workers are actively demonstrating creativity, responsibility, and dedication, thereby generating a strong boost for economic development of enterprises and the locality.
Each position serves as a “fortress” of innovation
Across numerous industrial parks in Dong Nai, production emulation movements have been widely deployed through diverse and practical forms. Enterprises proactively organize thematic campaigns such as good labour, creative labor, improving productivity – ensuring safety, and technical innovation, drawing broad participation from workers. This vibrant emulation atmosphere not only enhances production outcomes but also fosters positive morale among the workforce.
Pham Tinh Duc, a worker at Fujikura Electronics Vietnam Limited (Long Binh ward), has for many consecutive years been recognized as an outstanding worker. Behind those achievements lies his tireless spirit of learning, his constant efforts to sharpen professional skills, and his innovative thinking in the workplace. Particularly notable is his proactive role in proposing and successfully implementing multiple production improvement initiatives that have generated substantial practical value for the enterprise.
Among the most prominent examples are his project to reduce costs for purchasing new magnifying glasses, helping save more than 24,000 USD per year; his initiative to decrease the number of stored product samples in production, saving nearly 2,000 USD per year; and his project to reduce the number of PCS product samples taken at production process, saving over 1,600 USD per year. Beyond measurable financial savings, these initiatives have also improved workflow efficiency, reduced waste, and strengthened production management effectiveness.
What is admirable about Duc is not only his practical innovations but also his bold spirit in thinking and action, as well as his readiness to face hardship and difficulty. He is always willing to share experience and support colleagues in progressing together, thereby helping foster a united, positive, and creative working environment. “Every initiative is the result of continuous study and relentless research in order to adapt to a modern working environment,” Pham Tinh Duc said.
At Lixil Global Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Long Thanh ward), Le Minh Tuan, Chairman of the company’s Trade Union, emphasized that in the context of digital transformation, production emulation movements are gaining further momentum through technological application. Workers not only compete in productivity but also actively learn, master equipment, and modernize workflows. This is the essential foundation for cultivating a highly skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of smart manufacturing.

Contributing to sustainable production
These days, the spirit of emulation is spreading widely throughout factories and industrial facilities. From frontline machine operators to engineers in control rooms, all are united by a common goal: higher productivity, better quality, and lower costs. Many technical improvements have emerged directly from daily production bottlenecks. Even seemingly small adjustments in assembly procedures or packaging lines proposed by workers have enabled enterprises to save billions of VND each year.
One particularly notable strength of current emulation movements is the close alignment between production goals and workers’ interests. Numerous enterprises have established timely reward mechanisms that recognize innovation and technical improvements, thereby encouraging workers to proactively innovate and enhance their professional skills. Many initiatives rooted directly in production practice have helped enterprises reduce expenses, optimize processes, and improve product quality.
According to the Dong Nai City Federation of Labor, from 2022 to 2025, Dong Nai recorded nearly 75,000 initiatives from union members and workers, generating benefits worth 572 billion VND for enterprises and institutions. Many young workers have also proactively pursued further education, improved professional qualifications, and participated in technical and digital technology training. From operating advanced machinery to supervising smart production systems, they are steadily mastering technology and contributing directly to higher productivity and stronger corporate competitiveness.
Bui Thi Bich Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai City Federation of Labor, said the patriotic emulation movement launched by Dong Nai’s trade unions at all levels has had widespread influence, attracting a large number of workers to participate across multiple sectors. “Trade unions at all levels, together with enterprises across the city, have promptly proposed practical solutions to create a stable, safe, and friendly working environment. Activities honoring exemplary workers and commending advanced role models have also contributed to spreading examples in labor and production,” Thuy said.
Dinh Sy Phuc, Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union at TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park), affirmed that production emulation movements are no longer symbolic slogans, but have truly become a new source of vitality within enterprises. It is precisely the enthusiasm, creativity, and skillful hands of workers, he noted, that continue to generate substantial added value, enabling enterprises to overcome challenges and move further ahead.
“Production emulation is not only a movement but also a driving force for development. Through the persistent and creative efforts of workers, enterprises gain stronger momentum to rise, thereby contributing to rapid and sustainable socio-economic growth in the new phase,” Phuc said.
In practice at enterprises, emulation movements have helped workers become more proactive in accessing new technologies. Mastering modern machinery is no longer a barrier; instead, it has become a source of motivation for every worker to improve their skills. When the spirit of emulation is awakened at the right time and in the right way, the momentum generated by workers can create extraordinary achievements—helping enterprises stabilize production while simultaneously driving Dong Nai City’s economy toward greater dynamism, creativity, and sustainable development.
According to Bui Thi Bich Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai City Federation of Labor, workers are precious “assets” that determine an enterprise’s very survival. Their momentum is nurtured by humane working environments and worthy remuneration policies. When workers clearly see that their own interests are inseparably tied to the company’s development, they will contribute at 200% of their capabilities. At this point, emulation is no longer a pressure but a source of pride for workers.
