The Provincial People's Committee has just sent a document to departments, branches and localities in the province coordinating with the People's Committees of Quang Nam and Yen Bai provinces in order to support citizens who wish to return to their hometown due to the COVID-19 epidemic situation. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to act as the focal point coordinating with the Provincial Public Security, the Provincial Military Headquarters, the Department of Transport, the Department of Health, and the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority and People's Committees of districts and cities to actively connect with authorized sectors of Quang Nam and Yen Bai provinces in order to have appropriate supporting plans under the direction of the Prime Minister at the Official Telegram No. 1063/CĐ-TTg dated July 31, 2021 on prevention and control of COVlD-19 epidemic; Document No. 9187/UBND-KGVX dated August 3, 2021 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of the above Official Telegram of the Prime Minister.
Previously, the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province had sent a document to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and some other provinces, including Dong Nai Province, to request the control of people living in provinces and cities where are implementing the social distancing decided themselves to return to Quang Nam Province. It is known that in the past time, Quang Nam Province has welcomed 4,000 people from Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces with the epidemic returning. Recently, personal motorbikes, cars and contracted cars have continued to return to Quang Nam Province with potential risk of spreading the epidemic.
In addition, the People's Committee of Yen Bai Province also sent a document to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces to support to welcome the citizens of the province temporarily residing in these localities in need of returning to their hometown. People to be transported by buses include 3 groups: Group No.1 belongs to elderly people, children, pregnant women, women raising child under 36 months old, people who go for medical examination and treatment, people visiting the relatives, the person who goes on a business trip has not been able to return, workers from poor and near-poor households, workers who are relatives of Revolution contributors and employees entitled to monthly social protection policies; Group No. 2 includes freelance workers; workers who lost their jobs, Group No. 3 covers pupils, students and other subjects.
As planned, Yen Bai Province will carry its provincial residents back home by train, departure is Saigon Station (Ho Chi Minh City) and continuously moving to the arrival of Yen Bai Station (Yen Bai Province). Finally, coaches or buses will be prepared to transport the people to the quarantine areas.
