According to Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, following the Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP of the Government on implementing a number of policies to support employees and employers facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 epidemic, by August 20, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has reviewed and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee a decision to support 59,000 freelance employees without labor contracts with an amount of nearly VND89 billion, in which the Provincial People's Committee issued an approval decision for nearly 50,000 people with an amount of over VND74.6 billion. So far, the localities have provided to over 40,000 people with an amount of over VND60.4 billion.
In addition, 80 enterprises have made the dossiers to request supporting policies for 1,177 employees who temporarily suspend the labor contracts or take unpaid leave with an expected amount of over VND4.2 billion. There were 10 units and 478 employees who made a request to support workers without jobs with the amount of VND485 million. Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee has issued a decision to support the employees to temporarily suspend the labor contracts and take unpaid leave for 12 units employing 94 workers with an amount of over VND335 million.
