Solutions to promote application of science and technology in fields proposed

According to a report by the representative of the party committee of the PUSTA, in 2020, the provincial party committee has led the PUSTA to perform many important tasks. In particular, the PUSTA has continued to maintain propaganda and dissemination activities of scientific and technical knowledge to all classes of people; and to organize contest movements, and scientific and technical competitions. In 2020, through science and technology creativity contests, and youth and children creative contests, thousands of new and innovative solutions have been entered. Among of which, many solutions were selected for national competition and won high prizes.

Performing the tasks of social consultation, counterargument and assessment, consulting and giving comments on important drafts of the province in the fields of economy, politics, culture and society of the province, the PUSTA has actively proposed and has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee to make a counterargument in 2 projects: drainage and wastewater treatment system for Long Thanh Town in the priority stage and Ho Gia Ui 2 in Xuan Loc District. The provincial party committee of the PUSTA has done well the policy of appreciating, treating and honoring intellectuals, widely gathering and uniting the contingent of scientific and technological intellectuals in the province, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ho Thanh Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the results achieved by the PUSTA in 2020. In the coming time, besides effective implementation of 7 key tasks set by the PUSTA in 2021, Comrade Ho Thanh Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also required the party committee of the PUSTA to continue promoting its leadership role to effectively implement the planned tasks. The year 2021 is the first year to implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, with its role, the PUSTA should devise an implementation plan to contribute to the provincial political system in implementation of the goals, targets, and mission set out by the resolution.

In addition, with its functions and duties, the PUSTA should strengthen coordination with member associations, carry out research and propose solutions to promote the application of science and technology in all fields; and improve the efficiency of consultancy and counterargument to contribute to the socio-economic development of the province, etc.
