Two More New Outbreak Areas of Blue-Eared Pig Disease Announced

The Provincial People's Committee has decided to announce two more new outbreak areas of blue-eared pig disease in the province that include Vinh Thanh commune (Nhon Trach district) and Bao Vinh commune (Long Khanh town).

    So far the province has ten communes involved with the blue-eared pig epidemic including Tan Vinh (Vinh Cuu district), Bac Son, Song Trau (Trang Bom district); Bau Kan, Tam An (Long Thanh district); Phuoc Thien, Vinh Thanh (Nhon Trach district); Song Nhan (My Cam district); DakLua (Tan Phu district) and Bao Vinh (Long Khanh town).

    Accordingly, the veterinary sector has destroyed nearly 9,000 untreatable infected pigs. The situation of the blue-eared pig epidemic is going complicated; therefore, regulatory agencies and farmers well as need to have resolute and timely measures on prevention and control in order to block new outbreaks.
