Blue-eared Pig Epidemic Announced in Bau Can Commune

    Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee asked Long Thanh district in coordination with Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and relevant departments and sectors to identify range of the epidemic, epidemic-threatening and buffering areas. Urgent measures on prevention and control over the epidemic have been carried out under the Ordinance on Veterinary Medicine. The province till now has four blue-eared pig outbreaks in four communes including Tan Vinh (Vinh Cuu district), Bac Son, Song Trau (Trang Bom district) and Bau Kan (Long Thanh district). The infected localities have destroyed nearly 4,000 sick pigs.
