Up to October 10, the whole province has cultivated 83,712- hectare summer autumn crops, fulfilling 98.6% of the plan.
That figure includes 53,714 hectares of food crops, up 1.7% compared with the same period last year ( Rice: 26,094 hectares, fulfilling 99,6% the plan; corn: 27,620 hectares, up 4.2% compared with the same period last year); 14,906 hectares of starch crops, fulfilling 88.1% of the plan; 7,565 hectares of foodstuff crops, fulfilling 99.4% of the plan, up 5.5% against the same period last year; 5,995 hectares of short term industrial plant crops, fulfilling 98.4% of the plan, up 4.8% against the same period last year.
Thanks to implementing disease control and prevention task, animal husbandry in the province in the last seven months has been stable, without any epidemic diseases. Moreover, inspecting and detecting and treating seriously cases of animal consuming and transporting has been more and more cared in order to ensure veterinary hygiene and foodstuff hygiene and safety for people.
