According to mango garden owners across the province, mango prices hit VND10,000 to VND15,000 a kilo before Tet.

However, thanks to main harvest
starting in Southwestern area and other provinces, the supplies became
plentiful, causing the prices down to VND8-9,000/kg. At present, mango prices
continue to fall to VND5,000 (but higher than other years). At these prices,
farmers make a profit of VND50-60,000/ha after deducting input costs.

As known, Dong Nai has over 7,000
hectares of mango planted in Dinh Quan, Xuan Loc and Vinh Cuu.
