8 health check-points established on national highways and expressways to control Covid-19 pandemic

​WP – The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just decided to establish 8 health check-points for the Covid-19 pandemic control through national highways in the province.

Health check-points in the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway will also be established to control the Covid-19 pandemic before entering into Dong Nai territory.​

In particular, 2 health check-points are established in Bien Hoa City , including: on the national highway 1A, the section near Dong Nai bridge (An Binh and Long Binh Tan wards) and the national highway 1K (Hoa An ward). In Long Thanh district, there are 2 health check-points on national highway 51 and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway. Thong Nhat district has 1 point established at the intersection of national highway 1A and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway. Xuan Loc district has 1 point established on national highway 1A, bordering Binh Thuan province. Cam My district has 1 point established on national highway 56, bordering Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and Tan Phu 1 district has 1 established on national highway 20, bordering Lam Dong province.

There are police forces at these health check-points; Traffic inspectors and staff of the Health Center control the movement of people and vehicles from other provinces and cities to Dong Nai to minimize the movement from provinces and cities to Dong Nai; stop moving people and vehicles from the pandemic areas to Dong Nai (except for special cases due to official duties and cases of providing food, equipment, medical supplies, vehicles carrying material production materials, specialist vehicles, workers working in factories).

Forces at the health check-points will check the prevention of pandemic on vehicles eligible to enter the province such as: checking body temperature, the regulations of the health sector and the transport industry when participating in traffic during the outbreak; dealing with cases of non-observance of the pandemic prevention according to law provisions.

The Decision also stated that the provincial Police was assigned to preside over, develop plans and schedules for assigning forces, and ensure necessary conditions to deploy the tasks; the Department of Health shall ensure the conditions of the forces and necessary conditions and medical equipment for the Covid-19 prevention and control. The presidents of People's Committees of rural districts and cities connecting with other provinces shall establish similar inter-sectoral points.​
