The program seeks to mobilize the active participation of government agencies, local authorities, and tourism businesses across the city through promotional campaigns showcasing Dong Nai’s destinations, culture, and people. It is also expected to enhance the value and competitiveness of local tourism products and services.

Strengthening local tourism promotion

Like other sectors and localities, Dong Nai’s tourism industry is accelerating efforts to contribute to the city’s goal of achieving double-digit growth in 2026 and beyond. Thanks to sustained efforts, the sector has recorded positive developments, while several large-scale tourism products and projects are preparing to come into operation.

Localities with strong tourism potential, including Tri An, Long Khanh, Binh Loc, and Xuan Loc, have introduced specific programs to promote their distinctive tourism products and attractions.

Blessed with abundant natural resources, Tri An ward has strong potential for developing forest ecotourism, cultural and historical tourism, community-based tourism, and culinary experiences featuring local specialties, including fish from Tri An Lake and regional agricultural products. Recently, the ward launched its own 2026 Tourism Stimulus Program, featuring communication and promotional campaigns highlighting its tourism strengths and advantages, alongside a range of practical activities designed to attract visitors and support local socio-economic development.

As the manager of more than 100,000 hectares of forests and lake areas in Tri An ward, the Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reserve has also introduced programs to promote tourism cooperation and development.

According to Nguyen Van Ha, Director of the Ecological, Cultural, and Historical Center of War Zone D under the Reserve, the reserve is working with travel companies both within and outside the city to roll out several tourism products combined with social welfare programs, including giving gifts and bicycles to students and disadvantaged families in the locality. In addition, the reserve is also coordinating tours to explore forests and lakes, offering visitors engaging experiences. Alongside developing tourism products, the unit is also stepping up promotion and calling on investors to participate in projects planned for the reserve, aiming to build a distinctive forest ecotourism center in Dong Nai.

Meanwhile, localities currently entering the summer fruit season, such as Binh Loc, Long Khanh, Xuan Loc, and Xuan Bac, have launched tourism promotion campaigns centered on orchard tours and agricultural experiences.

According to Van Thanh Toan, owner of the Four Seasons Flower Garden and Head of the Xuan Bac Community Tourism Cooperative Group, local orchards are fully prepared to welcome visitors throughout the summer.

Visitors to Xuan Bac can tour guava, rambutan, and mangosteen orchards and enjoy freshly picked fruit right in the gardens. Toan noted that all orchards are carefully maintained in accordance with clean and safe production standards to ensure visitor health and satisfaction.

Nguyen Quoc Phong, owner of the Ut Tieu Fruit Garden in Binh Loc ward, said his orchard and neighboring households began welcoming visitors at the end of April.

Since early June, visitor numbers have increased significantly as students entered their summer holidays, attracting many family tour groups from neighboring provinces and cities, particularly on weekends.

Creating momentum for tourism growth

Alongside localities with tourism advantages, various departments and agencies have joined efforts to implement the tourism stimulus program, gradually improving tourism product quality while strengthening regional tourism cooperation and connectivity.

According to Tran Thi Thu Trang, Acting Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, the center is intensifying promotional activities highlighting Dong Nai’s natural beauty, people, and well-known destinations as part of this year’s tourism stimulus program. The center is also strengthening partnerships with neighboring localities to jointly promote and develop regional tourism products.

At the same time, it is expanding efforts to showcase Dong Nai’s tourism potential and advantages through digital platforms.

Trang emphasized that the 2026–2030 period is considered a critical phase for Dong Nai to accelerate the transformation of its tourism promotion model toward a more professional, modern, and digital approach, thereby gradually reinforcing its position as an attractive destination for ecotourism, experiential travel, and leisure tourism in the Southeast region.

According to Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Director of the DoCST, the department has continued to promote strategic, long-term tourism infrastructure and product development while coordinating with local authorities, tourism enterprises, and relevant agencies to intensify tourism promotion campaigns. These efforts have been carried out under promotional messages such as Vietnamese People Travel Vietnam, Dong Nai – a safe destination, Dong Nai – nature calls, and Dong Nai – come and feel it.

As a result, during the first five months of 2026, Dong Nai welcomed more than 2.5 million visitors, while total tourism revenue was estimated at nearly VND1.9 trillion. The results indicate that Dong Nai’s tourism sector continues to recover and grow, contributing positively to the service sector while promoting the city’s image, culture, and tourism potential.

To attract more visitors, particularly during the summer peak season, weekends, and major holidays, the department has launched the 2026 Tourism Stimulus Program, focusing on developing attractive tourism packages and improving service quality across the tourism sector. At the same time, the department is developing promotional strategies to showcase Dong Nai’s tourism strengths and advantages, particularly potential tourism projects and products, while enhancing connectivity between local destinations and Long Thanh International Airport, which is scheduled to begin operations in the coming years.
