The Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang has just signed a document on approving the policy of vaccinating the 2nd dose of AstraZeneca vaccine for the people who have received the 1st dose of AstraZeneca vaccine from 6 to 12 weeks from the date of the 1st injection (if the people accept to be injected).

Accordingly, the Department of Health has assigned to coordinate with the agencies, units and localities to continue reviewing and implementing the vaccination in order to ensure that 100% of people aged 18 and above living and working in the province are closely vaccinated 1st dose according to the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in the Document No. 11965/UBND-KGVX. Then, the above people will be vaccinated the 2nd dose.
The 2nd dose vaccination has been sequentially carried out in accordance with the Document of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the plan for allocation and use of vaccines for each phase and according to the criteria of the interval period between two injections from high to low.
The vaccination units and facilities has been directed to inject the 2nd dose of vaccine in order to ensure the compliance with the instructions of the manufacturers, the Ministry of Health, and in accordance with the epidemic situation, meeting the epidemic prevention and control in the province and ensuring the right people, the interval period between two injections as prescribed.
It is known that the Department of Health has previously issued the Document No. 8314/SYT-NV dated October 5, 2021 of the Department of Health on proposing the policy to shorten the period of vaccination for the people who have received the 1st dose of AstraZeneca vaccine.
