Investment Promotion Conference for European Businesses Held

The conference was attended by 45 companies from the European Community, industrial park infrastructure companies, and the leadership of departments and sectors in Dong Nai.

Dong Nai has nearly 1,000 operational foreign companies with 978 active projects and a total registered investment capital of more than US$19.4 billion from 35 countries and territories.

European investors with 65 registered projects worth US$2.33 billion have the biggest volume of investment in Dong Nai.

Many large-sized companies are doing business effectively such as Nestlé Vietnam Co. Ltd., Robert Bosch Vietnam Co. Ltd., Vietnam Schaeffler Co. Ltd., Shell Vietnam, and so on.

According to the province’s planning, there will be 34 industrial parks with a total area of 11,380 hectares to be invested in. There are 30 licensed industrial parks with a total area of ​​9,500 hectares, 60 per cent of which have been used.

In addition, Dong Nai has Long Thanh High-Tech Industrial Park on an area of 420 hectares whose investment plans are being made; Dofico Industrial and Agricultural Complex on an area of 2,100 hectares, whose infrastructure construction is being carried out; and Dong Nai Center for Applied Biotechnology on an area of ​​209 hectares with phase-1 infrastructure, which is calling for investment.

Thanks to its geographical position in the southern key economic region, convenient infrastructure and transport systems, developed services for businesses’ development, abundant human resources, and good social security policies, Dong Nai is one of four leading provinces to attract investment capital in the country.

At the conference, Dong Nai People's Committee granted the investment certificate for Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd.’s project with a registered capital of US$16 million in Amata Industrial Park.
