Dong Nai Holds a Pre-summation Meeting about the Four-Year Implementation of Publicizing Grassroots Party Organs and Party Members’ Quality Assessment Results

The meeting was attended by Member of the Central Party and Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Standing Committee at Dong Nai Party Committee Le Hong Phuong,  Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairperson of Dong Nai People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai, Deputy Director of the Central Party Secretariat Dinh Van Luong, Dong Nai Party Executive Committee members, the standing committee at levels of Party Committee, leaders of Party Committees, grassroots Party organs with clean and strong titles for a period of three consecutive years and of five consecutive years.

The report of the Standing Committee at Dong Nai Party Committee says that over four years of the implementation of the guidelines of the Standing Committee at Dong Nai Party Committee on the publicizing of Party organs and Party members’ quality assessment results levels of Party Committee, Party organs, and Party members have shaped a clear perception of the significance, effects and necessity of calling for public opinions on grassroots Party organs and Party members’ quality assessment.

Officers and masses at grassroots levels express their agreement and support. Participants who gave comments and ideas hits 96.21 percent compared to those invited to the meeting.

Some Party organs such as Dong Nai Military, Dong Nai Police, Cam My, Long Khanh, and Bien Hoa have 100 percent of people giving opinions, thereby helping levels of Party Committee understand masses’ thoughts and aspirations, and grassroots Party organs and Party members and then resulting in a more practical assessment of the quality of grassroots Party organs, Party branches, and Party members.

Simultaneously, the quality assessment helps Party organs and Party branches pass more accurate judgment to timely put forward guidelines, and to make plans or action programs for the successful implementation and application of the Party and government’s policies according to public interests and aspirations.

The meeting

Addressing the meeting, Member of the Central Party and Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh stressed that the publicizing of grassroots Party organs and Party members’ quality assessment results plays a key part in the building of the Party and is defined as an annual task of the Party of Dong Nai.

Over four years of the implementation of the above policies Party organs and Party members have increasingly grown, said Thanh.

For grassroots Party organs and Party members’ annual quality assessment to be associated with a successful implementation of the publicizing of grassroots Party organs and Party members’ quality assessment results, levels of Party Committee should:

- Continue bringing the “Study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s ethical example” campaign to officers and Party members, and further strengthening the inspection, supervision, management, education and training among officers and Party members.

- Ensure the principles of democracy and centralism in the Party’s activities and maintain disciplines among the Party.

- Update the contents and the operating method and improve the quality of grassroots Party organs’ activities.

- Build up strong grassroots Party organs in political, ideological, and organizational aspects to make a bridge between the Party and the people.

- Focus on good leadership and completion of political tasks and promptly settle grassroots issues.

Also, he noted that in 2011 levels of Party Committee ought to:

- Focus on the leadership and strengthening of grassroots Party organs with weaknesses and on Party members’ quality improvement.

- Continue making officers and Party members fully aware of grassroots Party organs and Party members’ quality assessment.

- Specify assessment criteria as well as an appropriate publicizing of grassroots Party organs and Party members.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee at Dong Nai Party Committee awarded emulation flags to 17 clean and strong grassroots Party organs in five consecutive years (2006-2010), certificates of merit to 20 clean and strong grassroots Party organs in three consecutive years (2008-2010) and six clean and strong Party branches under grassroots Party organs in five consecutive years (2006-2010), and certificates of merit to 151 eligible Party members that have successfully completed tasks in five consecutive years (2006-2010).
