Vietnam Animal Foodstuff Association finds ways to solve difficulties for animal-foodstuff industry

This has heavily affected the output of poultry products. In addition, the cost of input material is on the raise. All these make the animal foodstuff industry confronts with more and more difficult.

Although the industry is in bad conditions, it has tried its best to produce 3,2 million tons of product with the total amount of over 12,800 billion VND. The concerned matter is that the imported materials used for production makes up of 38% of the total production value, particularly maize and oil-cake is 600,000 tons, a half of the total imported material. To achieve the production target of 6.2 billion tons in this year, product material is a difficult issue needed solving quickly. Besides, to ensure the production target, “animal foodstuff is good, safe and reasonable”, the Association required every member to strictly obey the regulations on not using 18 kinds of banned substances to produce gain weight Clenbuterol food for animal. If any firms violate, they will be strongly punished. Besides, to ensure the firm development, the Animal Husbandry Bureau said that it was very necessary to plan the materials serving the processing industry and breeding development.

According to the development orientation for the period from 2006 to 2010, animal husbandry industry in Viet Nam will become the key production industry of Agriculture, making up of from 35% to 40% of the total production value of Agriculture. The time to be admitted in WTO is near. Together with the Australian beef, the American chicken are now allowed to import into Vietnamese market. It also means that the competition on breeding market will be fiercer and fiercer. The relationship between the members of the association and the attempt of each firm enhance the competition and coped with the risk in the market and also ensure productive process, hygiene and safety. This is a emergency problem in the production, the food processing industry for breeding now.
