Vegetable supply increased over the same period

According to a report of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the total area of green vegetables and fruit vegetables in the province reached nearly 17.4 thousand hectares. In the first 7 months of 2021, the total output of vegetables of all kinds reached nearly 118.6 thousand tons, an increase of more than 6 thousand tons, equivalent to an increase of 5.34% over the same period.

The increase in the output of vegetables supplied to the market is not only due to the increase in vegetable growing area, but also due to the productivity of vegetables of all kinds reached 156.4 quintals per hectare, an increase of nearly 0.3 quintals per hectare compared to the same period last year. Last time, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the supply of green vegetables from provinces and cities to Dong Nai Province was more difficult, the price of many green vegetables was higher than the same period every year. Currently, the demand for green vegetables is still very large, the green vegetables on the market have good prices. Accordingly, the local vegetable farmers are also focusing on producing and harvesting the green vegetables to supply the market.
