Total investigation on rural, agricultural and aquatic product aspects starts on 1st July

It is employed to collect basic information about certain issues related to rural areas, agriculture and fishery in order to assess the reality and tendency of agricultural and rural development in Vietnam; to establish fundamental data to set up the plan and proposal of policies for the development of agriculture and rural areas in the next stage as well as the objective of socio-economic developmental strategy. The investigation will focus on 3 main contents: the reality of agriculture, forestry and fishery (examining the number of production units, laborers and labor structure; the scope and capability of production; the state of industrialization and modernization and the application of science and technology into production; the approach of information from production units; the influence of production on environment; the development of farm-based economy, etc.); the reality of rural issues (investigating the reality and restructuring of rural economy; the reality and changing of rural socio-economic infrastructure); the information of rural residents (the living condition of rural residents; their capital accumulation and mobilization, loan and access to credits; job training for rural employees).

In Dong Nai, in order to execute the total investigation, the province leadership has established Steering Board at 3 levels ranging from provinces, districts, towns, cities to communes. Meanwhile, training classes have been arranged to train investigators the methods. These classes are supposed to be attended by 5,500 senior executives and junior investigators at 3 levels.
