The enterprises hope to have enough vaccines for employees soon

​The Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority has organized a delegation to check the enterprise on carrying out the procedures on epidemic prevention and control in order to restore the production.  

In the past 2 months, Dong Nai Province has prioritized the source of Covid-19 vaccine to inject the employees at the enterprises implementing the "3 things on the spot" and "1 route, 2 stops" options in order to keep the industrial production and limit the supply chain disruptions. However, because the number of vaccines allocated by the Government has been still low compared to the demands, only a few companies with large employees will be given priority in injecting to the employees for 100% of the first dose.

Hoping to have enough vaccines soon

Through research, in the province, very few enterprises can keep their capacity as at the beginning of the year, mainly maintaining only 25 - 50% of their capacity. The production of goods has sharply decreased, but production costs have increased, so the enterprises hope to have enough vaccines for injecting to the employees soon in order to restore their normal production.

The General Director of the Chang Dae Vina Co., Ltd Jang Won in the Amata Industrial Zone (Bien Hoa City) said: “The Company has nearly 390 employees but only organizes 136 people to stay at the factory to work. Currently, the company has just been allocated the Covid-19 vaccine to inject for the employees who have not finished the first dose. Therefore, the enterprise hopes that the province will soon have enough vaccine sources to arrange the vaccinations for all employees in the company to inject full of 2 doses in order to be able to restore 100% of the factory's capacity".

Currently, the labor forces working in the enterprises in Dong Nai Province have been nearly 1.2 million people, especially in the Industrial Zone, there have been over 630 thousand people. Therefore, the number of doses of vaccine needed to inject for the employees working in the enterprises has been over 2 million doses of vaccine.

According to the Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang, Dong Nai Province has been a written request to the Government on prioritizing the source of Covid-19 vaccine for the province in order to vaccinate the employees in the enterprises and the whole people of the province. Getting enough vaccines is the most effective solution to control the epidemic and restore the production and businesses.

The epidemic prevention and control has been good for economic recovery  

Dong Nai Province as well as neighboring provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong Province, in addition to the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic, have gradually recovered the economy. For the sake of economic recovery, the restoration of production will ensure the jobs and incomes for the employees. At the same time, the enterprises that have resumed their production and businesses will have increased their contributions to the state budget and added more resources in order to join their forces with the government to prevent and control the epidemic and take care of the employees.

Mrs. Pham Thi Da Thao, General Director of the Hansol Electronics Vietnam Hochiminhcity Company Limited in the Amata Industrial Zone shared: “Foreign partners have placed a lot of orders from the company, but the company has not signed with them because the company have been waiting for ending the social distancing and the province have well controlled the epidemic and reopened the economy in the coming time. At that time, the enterprises will have signed the new orders without worrying about shortages of labors and input materials for the production”.

Currently, many industries have started to enter the production and export season at the end of the year, such as footwear, textiles, textile fibers, wooden products, electronic products and components, machinery and equipment spare parts, etc. In addition, the Europe, Japan, China, the United States, and Republic of Korea are on the verge of economic recovery, so the demands for goods from Vietnam have been increasing. Therefore, Dong Nai Province has "accelerated" the preventiong and control of the epidemic, expanded the green zones and prevented new outbreaks from appearing in order to gradually recover the economy.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tien Dung emphasized: "If the Covid-19 epidemic has prolonged, it will cause the great damage to the economy of the province. Although Dong Nai Province has many enterprises that can still maintain the production, the number of employees staying at the factories for production have only accounted for about 20 - 30%. The source of vaccines will be prioritized by the province for fighting against the epidemic to expand the green zones and for the enterprises implementing the 3 things on the spot option. The goal is to quickly control the epidemic in order to restore the economy of the province."
