The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on all people in the province to implement the Prevention and Control of the COVID-19 Epidemic

Dear all compatriots, soldiers and people of the province.

The situation of COVID-19 epidemic is breaking out in a number of provinces and cities nationwide, Dong Nai is one of the localities heavily affected in this 4^th wave of the epidemic. Facing that situation, Dong Nai Province has drastically implemented the epidemic prevention and control measures in the province, including deploying the implemention of Directive No. 16 dated March 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister on urgent measures for the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic in the whole province in 15 days from 0:00 on August 1, 2021 according to the principle that  all families, hamlets, communes/wards, districts/cities shall be isolated from another.

In the past few days of implementing the social distancing, the forces of healthcare, police, military, volunteers and people have been overcoming all difficulties, hardships all day and night and sacrificing their individual benefits to participate in the fight against the epidemic; This is a very meaningful thing and a great strength for Dong Nai Province to uphold the spirit of determination to win the epidemic. 

Through the time of implementing the social distancing in the province according to Directive No. 16/CT-TTg, the epidemic situation has not shown any signs of abating. The number of infections in the community (in quarantined areas, hostel areas, etc.) and enterprises continues to increase. Some companies and enterprises with a large number of employees had to stop production or business; markets had to stop operating because there were many cases of infection and spread, greatly affecting the production and business activities of small traders and enterprises; The social lives of people in the province has been directly affected. Up to now, the whole province has more than 12,000 positive cases for SARS-CoV-2 And, more sadly, there were 90 deaths caused by the COVID-19 epidemic. 

One of the reasons for increasing the number of infections mentioned above is that the implementation of social distancing is really not strict, and there is still a situation that somewhere people have not well implemented the 5K regulations, especially circulating in the community; Simultaneously, with the evolution of the new Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2, it is especially dangerous because of its rapid spread speed, which can double the risk of hospitalization of Covid-19 patients compared with other strains and have ability of resisting to Covid-19 treatments, as well as challenge and threaten our recent anti-epidemic achievements. That makes epidemic prevention and control more and more difficult while the disease is increasingly complicated with many unpredictable risks.

In order to continue implementing the goal of protecting the lives and health of the people first and foremost, stabilizing production and business activities in the province, soon preventing and controlling the epidemic, and bringing Dong Nai Province return to a new normal situation; On behalf of the Party Committee and government of Dong Nai Province, I call on all my compatriots, intellectuals, religious dignitaries, officers, soldiers and people of all classes to support, trust and sympathize, share and continue to strictly implement the social distancing according to Directive No. 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister until the end of August 31, 2021. 

The whole Party, army and people join hands to drastically implement the measures for prevention and control of the epidemic; continue to strictly implement the social distancing under the spirit of Directive No. 16 of the Prime Minister in the whole province until the end of August 2021. Forces in the province are taking advantage of the remaining "golden time" to put all efforts to control the spread of the disease in the area, taking advantage of each day to carry out a huge amount of work: focusing on searching, speeding up the implementation of large-scale testing and mobilizing the whole political system to participate in the vaccination campaign to prevent and contribute to the victory of the COVID-19 pandemic; besides, distributing goods and essential necessities to people; supporting workers and employers facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, not letting people lack of food or clothing during the epidemic period; focusing on inspection and test to workers in the enterprises implementing 3 on the spot, ensuring the strict implementation of regulations on screening tests, production arrangement and channeled accommodation according to 5K.

In order to successfully prevent and control the epidemic, I call on all non-public medical facilities, retired doctors  and volunteers to join in the epidemic prevention and control, contributing to repel the epidemic, stabilizing lives and continuing the socio-economic development of Dong Nai Province.

Each person joins hands for the health of himself, his family and the community, accepting some immediate inconveniences and difficulties so that the whole province can sustainably stabilize and develop again. The power of great solidarity is the most valuable, important and powerful resource to win the pandemic; I believe that with the united effort, determination and strict implementation of the regulations on the social distancing, we will quickly defeat the epidemic so that Dong Nai Province continues to develop sustainably, bring peace, warmth and happiness for the people of the province.
