Amata Industrial Zone (Bien Hoa City) is a typical IZ nationwide
Building the typical Industrial Zone
After nearly 30 years of investing in Dong Nai Province, the AMATA Corporation Public Company Limited (Amata Corporation PCL) has become a well-known investor in the field of technical infrastructure. The first project of the Amata Corporation PCL investing in Vietnam was to build the infrastructure of the Amata Industrial Zone (Bien Hoa City). After completing the construction of infrastructure, the Amata Industrial Zone has become a typical Industrial Zone of Vietnam, attracting more than 160 projects of the FDI enterprises from many countries and territories investing in many manufacturing industries such as electronics, apparel, footwear, machinery and equipments, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, etc. with a total capital of more than US$2 billion.
Up to now, the Amata Corporation PCL has invested 05 projects in Dong Nai Province, including: the Amata Industrial Park, Long Thanh Hi-Tech Industrial Park, Amata City Long Thanh Project, Long Thanh 1 and Long Thanh 2 Service Urban Project.
Mrs. Somhatai Panichewa, General Director of Amata Vietnam Public Company Limited said: “I consider the Amata Industrial Zone as a typical industrial zone to be replicated to other provinces. After a successful investment in Dong Nai Province, the Corporation chose Long Thanh District to invest in another Long Thanh Hi-tech Industrial Zone with a total capital of about US$282 million, nearly 20 times higher than the investment capital of the Amata Industrial Park". According to Mrs. Somhatai Panichewa, the Amata Corporation PCL chose Long Thanh District to invest in 03 more industrial and smart city projects because its location is convenient transportation and not far from Ho Chi Minh City. In the future, when the Long Thanh International Airport is built and put into operation, along with an increasingly complete road transport system, it will be a great advantage to attract the FDI investment in the field of high technology. After successfully investing in Dong Nai Province, the Amata Corporation PCL has expanded its investment to Quang Ninh Province with a number of large projects having the investment capital of hundreds of millions of USD.
It is expected that, when the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in the world subsides, the trade between countries is favorable and many Thai enterprises will come to the province to invest in the fields of industry, trade, services, technical infrastructure, etc.
