According to the Provincial Confederation of Labor, over the past time, in many enterprises in the province, besides ensuring the issues of occupational safety and hygiene, fire prevention and fighting, the environment in the workers' area has been improved. In particular, when the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic was complicated, businesses have rearranged their production places scientifically and rationally, ensuring epidemic prevention and workers' health.

In recent years, at Dong Phu Cuong Co., Ltd, Dinh Quan District, the working environment of employees has been focused on improving through the implementation of the Green Eco-Corner model. This model is highly appreciated by the company's employees and brings practical effects, helping employees relax and rest right at the factory, contributing to building a healthy cultural environment, reducing working pressure for employees.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, working at the company's garment factory, said that thanks to the green ecological corner implemented by the company, employees have a green, clean and friendly working environment. In addition, employees both have a space to rest and relax to regenerate their labor force, while raising the awareness of epidemic prevention and keeping the working environment clean and beautiful at the company. She and many workers hope that the company will continue to maintain and develop these models for employees to enjoy, thereby having more motivation to work and increase labor productivity.

Sharing about the ecological corner model at the company's factory premises and near the workplace of employees, the company representative said that when coming to the factory, the workers are very busy, so the Ecology Corner is often chosen as the resting corners of employees. This model is welcomed by a large number of employees of the company because instead of just resting at the factory, they can rest in places with green trees to relax and regenerate their labor. In addition, after a long sitting working session, employees are very tired and have back pain. If they do not rest properly in the afternoon, their work performance in the afternoon will decrease and their productivity will not be high. Since then, workers also feel the change in a positive direction and actively implement the safe working rules at the enterprise.

Mr. Do Dinh Hiep, Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam Precision Industry Joint Stock Company located in Trang Bom District said that for many years, the movement to detect hazards in the workplace has been developed by the company. The activity has attracted many employees to participate in the improvement to improve occupational safety. Accordingly, in the process of working, if the employee discovers potential dangers of occupational accident, he will propose the leader or the company's improvement board to improve in accordance with the job requirements. From this model, employees have contributed many suggestions and good ideas that not only help businesses find dangerous problems at the factory, but also help employees protect themselves during work. Enterprises also have a favorable bonus if the proposal helps achieve high working results.

According to Mr. Hiep, from the effectiveness of the above movement, every year, there are hundreds of large and small initiatives of employees to contribute to improve machines and working environment for workers. Employees also demonstrate their democratic rights and actively express their opinions and aspirations during the working process. “We put the high reward into this movement to encourage many employees to participate in order to create a good working environment, while ensuring absolute safety and long-term health of employees, and limiting accidents, workers and employees will work more professionally "- Mr. Hiep expressed.

Improve the working environment

In order to ensure the safety of employees and demonstrate the role of the Trade Union in improving the working environment for employees, in 2019, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor issued a plan to implement the tasks of the Trade Union participating in improving the working environment, and reducing the occupational accidents and diseases in the period of 2019-2023. Accordingly, trade unions at all levels regularly provide professional training and skills to do occupational safety and hygiene with innovative and effective content; focus on updating new points, specific models and experiences, realistically working with employees and organizing for employees to self-detect risks and incidents of occupational safety and health at the workplace.

Implementing the plan of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the provincial Trade Unions at all levels have coordinated with the branches to promote propaganda in many forms on occupational safety and health, change the friendly working environment for the safety of occupational hygiene, business owners and workers. The grassroots trade unions at enterprises have gone in-depth, closely followed, quickly recognize the thoughts and aspirations of employees, thereby promptly proposing and recommending to enterprises to have solutions to improve the working environment for employees during the working process.

Mr. Phan Toi Tho Hiep, Trade Union Chairman of Tonkin Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd., Bien Hoa City said that the working environment is one of the decisive factors to the health and productivity of employees. Understanding that, the Trade Union and the employer have coordinated to improve and enhance the quality of the environment in the areas where employees directly work. Measures to improve working conditions, environmental hygiene, minimize labor accidents, occupational diseases, etc. are focused on monthly and quarterly by the company to ensure employees have a friendly and safe working environment.
