Policies to support sustainable agricultural development should be issued

 Difficult to access the support policies

In the new period, many mechanisms, policies as well as programs and projects have been implemented to promote agriculture, rural areas, and farmers to continue to develop.

However, the reality of our country's agricultural production is still fragmented and small, the accumulation of land for large commodity production has not met the requirements; Vietnam's agricultural labor productivity is much lower than that of other countries and other fields. In which, many policies have been issued but are difficult to put into practice in localities such as: policies on land accumulation, policies to support enterprises to invest in agriculture, support for cooperatives, collective economy as well as policies to facilitate the development of farm economy are still difficult.

At the national conference to give suggestions for collective economic development in the new period at the end of January, Mr. Ho Thanh Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that in the new period, it is necessary to strengthen strong guidelines, policies, and solutions to promote the development of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas. As for policies to support household economy, collective economy, cooperative development, in the immediate future should focus on business development. With the role of leading the household economy, the collective economy, and the cooperative to develop together, businesses have more favorable conditions in terms of capital, technology, management, market.

A synchronous ecosystem is necessary

Orienting to agricultural production to get rid of the curse of fragmentation and fragmentation towards sustainable development, Minister Le Minh Hoan of the Agriculture and Rural Development pointed out, the trap that makes agricultural production unsustainable lies in 3 problems: Farmers think about the season, taking care of every season. Accordingly, instead of finding out market information, product consumption addresses and then investing in production, farmers see a certain type of agricultural product selling at a high price, so they rush to work together. Farmers grow according to the movement and are completely passive waiting for traders to buy, so they easily fall into the situation of being forced to sell, forced to sell, or even throw away.

 At the local level, Mr. Vo Van Phi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed, based on the assessment of resources related to sustainable agricultural development in the province; resources on socio-economic conditions; current status of agricultural production, strengths, weaknesses and opportunities that the province's sustainable agricultural development program sets out specific goals. In which, agriculture was restructured in association with innovating growth model and building new countryside towards modernity; develop concentrated production areas of high-quality goods, meeting food safety standards. In which, the province will synchronously deploy mechanisms and policies to support agriculture for sustainable development; mechanism to promote the application of science - technology and high-tech agriculture; policies to develop organic agriculture, develop deep processing industries and agricultural services to increase added value.
