In 2022, in difficult conditions, all 6/6 targets assigned by the Government to the Agriculture sector have met and exceeded the plan. The industry-wide value added (GDP) reached 3.36%, the highest increase in recent years. In particular, the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector has stepped up trade promotion and market opening to maintain, expand and boost exports, especially for key products in key markets. Along with that, domestic trade promotion activities were promoted, coordinated to organize many activities to connect supply and demand, link the value chain of agricultural products. Therefore, the export turnover of agro-forestry-fishery products reached a record high of over USD 53.2 billion, up 9.3% compared to 2021; far exceed the targets assigned by the Government; accounting for more than 75% of the total trade surplus value of the whole economy.
