Over past 15 years have witnessed rapid growth of Sonadezi

Sonadezi’s representative introduces the corporation’s operations to a foreign delegation.

 Investment projects have, until present, occupied 40.8% of the total land of Dong Nai’s 15 IPs or equivalent to a total of just 750 hectares. Sonadezi’s IPs have to date attracted over 300 investment projects worth US$ US$3.2 billion. These projects helped to bring more than 90,000 new jobs to the community. Sonadezi, the country’s first state enterprise charged with directly in operating and maintaining the infrastructure facility created in the industrial locations with initial registered capital of VND 58 million and 6 employees. After 15 years of development, Sonadezi has offered all the prestige and security of a leading state enterprise with a total capital of VND 360 billion. The company currently contributed yearly over 20 billion VND to the State budget. Sonadezi’s profit/capital ratio hits over 20 % per year. Besides, Sonadezi has entered a partnership with its partners to set up 3 shareholding companies, 2 joint- venture companies and 1 college. As of July, 2005, Sonadezi has transformed into the mother-affiliate model. Accordingly, 21 subsidiaries has merged with Sonadezi which is operating in such fields as developing IPs and residential areas, doing business in construction, transportation and industrial production.

The 2006 targets are now as follows: To encourage more investments into local IPs where will be fully occupied by investment projects; To plan to move into the construction of the high tech park named Cao Giang Dien with a total of 1,000 hectares; To build Long Thanh district’s new settlement called “Tam An” for 40,000 people; To complete fully the construction of infrastructure in Xuan Loc industrial park. On the other hand, the company will directly participate in constructing and maintaining Bien Hoa city’s urban areas as well as other centers throughout the province. The company will also invest to build Phuoc An Port. Furthermore, Sonadezi will develop further Dong Nai Port to offer features to quicken its loading and unloading process.
