Open to public traffic the entire Ho Chi Minh City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Highway in February

It is expected that Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Highway will open to public traffic the entire route with a length of 55km in February. According to Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC), VEC will immediate technical open section from An Phu to Ring 2 intersection (under section 1) of the north - south highway project on segment Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay on January 10.
When put into operation the highway will connect Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Highway with East West Avenue, an important transport route of Ho Chi Minh City and contribute to solve overcrowding at the gate of Ho Chi Minh City to neighboring provinces, reducing time and increasing accessibility, connectivity with the vehicle from the city center to highway is 4km instead of nearly 9km as before.
Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Highway is the high-speed road located along the east highway of Vietnam highway network planning from Ho Chi Minh City connecting National Road 51, Long Thanh International Airport and National Road 1A. The project goes through the territory of Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province
Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Highway project has a total route length is 55 km, the project is divided into two components: Project component 1 (section An Phu - Ring 2) is designed according to the standard of urban roads, design speed of 80km / h, scale Phase 1: 4 lanes, width of the road 26,5m; road surface width 2 x 7.5 m and 2 emergency stopping lanes 2x3m..
The project component II (Section Ring 2 - Long Thanh - Dau Giay) is designed according to standard highway type A, the design speed of 120 km / h, for Long Thanh bridge designing speed of 100 km / h; cross section scale phase I: 4 lanes.
