At the meeting with the departments and branches on the results of the implementation of the task of tourism development, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phu Cuong said that Dong Nai tourism in recent years has achieved many remarkable achievements and has had development direction in line with the local potential. Therefore, localities and departments need to create conditions for businesses and investors to access projects.

Dong Nai has a number of projects that encountered administrative procedures that caused the project to last for several years during the process of proposal formulation and calling for funding. For examples, the Safari Wildlife Park project, the Thac Mai – Boiled water Pond tourist resort projects; Son Tien Tourist Area project, Chua Chan mountain project ... These projects are primarily concerned with the hiring of forest environmental services and land procedures. According to Mr Tran Vu Hoai Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, the province's current tourist planning is general orientation. As a result, if this plan is used to attract investors, it will become entangled when investors approach the project because the intended region lacks distinctive markers. The plans of land use, construction, traffic, forest were entangled. Mr Ha stated that, in order to resolve the above issue, localities play a critical role in basing on the orientations of the province to review and monitor the proposals of reasonable investors in their orientation for adjustment direction.

At present, the province has determined to develop eco-tourism, including the issue of leasing forest environment for tourism development, along with the potentials of community tourism, garden eco-tourism … with potential. Localities should also have plans to exploit the potential in the areas to have a reasonable development direction.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong determined that Dong Nai would continue to develop services and tourism in the direction of ecology and sustainability, needed to create breakthroughs to become a spearhead economic sector.
