Manufacturing enterprises need the stable food suppliers

In the process of implementing the "3 things on the spot" option, the enterprises in the province are worried about breaking of the food supply chain. Thus, in a short time, it is very difficult to contrive, so it will affect the employees working in the factory. To limit this issue, the Department of Industry and Trade has made a list of many establishments and companies that can provide food, foodstuff and industrial catering for the enterpises.

* More food suppliers are needed 

From the beginning of July, 2021, the Covid-19 epidemic broke out and spread widely in the community, causing many areas, wards and communes to appear F0 cases and blockaded. As a result, many industrial catering and food supply units that fell into the blockade area had to temporarily suspend operations, leading to the temporary "broken" supply chain of food, foodstuff and industrial catering services. In the condition that the whole province is implementing the social distancing, it is very difficult for the enterprises to find new food suppliers and industrial catering.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Doan, General Director of Daikan Viet Nam Co., Ltd in Amata Industrial Zone (Bien Hoa City) said: “At the beginning of July 2021, the Daikan implemented a plan to stay at the company to maintain production. At first time, the company faced difficulties because the unit that provided breakfast for employees stopped working. Therefore, the enterprise has to struggle to find other suppliers to ensure food sources and meals for employees in the company.  

Many enterprises through the Department of Industry and Trade, the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority find other food suppliers to sign contracts, avoiding the risk of turning back in time.

Mr. Le Bach Long, Director of Nam Long Co., Ltd (Long Thanh District) shared: "In the early days of the province implementing the social distancing, the food supply source was interrupted, the company must find to buy the food from many places to store for 3-4 days in order to avoid shortage of meals for workers staying at the factory”. Currently, the enterprises that are maintaining production need to have many foodstuff and food supply connecting clues.  

* Let supply and demand meet 

Recently, the Department of Industry and Trade has announced that more than 10 companies, centers, supermarkets and cooperatives can supply essential foods for the enterprises in the province with the large quantities. Therefore, the enterprises that have difficulty in supplying industrial catering and food can directly contact the Department of Industry and Trade to be introduced to find new suppliers. In addition, three major corporations of Dong Nai Province, namely Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation (Dofico), Tin Nghia Corporation and Sonadezi Corporation (Sonadezi), also participated in helping the enterprises connect with companies selling food.

Mr. Tran Dang Ninh, Deputy General Director of Dofico Corporation said: “In addition to participating in opening price-stabilizing selling points for people in Bien Hoa City, Dofico will act as a bridge for the enterprises to find other food suppliers. Thus, the enterprises in the province can buy vegetables, fruits, meat and fish at original prices, reducing costs and not worrying about food shortages for workers in factories.

According to Mr. Tran Trung Tuan, Deputy General Director of Tin Nghia Corporation, Dau Giay Agri-Products Wholesale Market is invested by Thong Nhat Real Estate Joint Stock Company (belonging to Tin Nghia Corporation). Currently, the supply of vegetables and fruits from this market is quite abundant, so the enterprises participating in price-stabilization sales or the enterprises implementing "3 things on the spot" that need partners to provide the above items will be connected with small traders in the market. This is a wholesale market, so the source of goods is diverse and can meet very large quantities.

The Department of Industry and Trade has also contacted a number of companies in the West that are able to supply dozens of tons of food per day when the "3 things on the spot" enterprises need it. “The Department of Industry and Trade has discussed with 3-4 companies in Long An province and some other provinces, specializing in food business and they have agreed that they can sell to the enterprises in Dong Nai Province dozens of tons of rice per day. In addition, the Department also connects with farms and cooperatives in the province to have the output of vegetables, eggs, pork, chicken, duck, and fish to sell to companies”- Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Le Van Loc said.
