Maintain good implementation of core tasks: protecting and taking care of the employees' legitimate interests

The whole province currently has 2,878 trade unions with 674,250 union members/716,504 employees. In the past half of term, the provincial Trade Union organization has made a change in the content and mode of operation, with the motto towards the grassroots. Activities focus mainly on the care and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of the union members and employees, especially on holidays, New Year, worker month, union establishment date. Many humanitarian programs continue to be maintained such as building a union home and supporting union members in difficult circumstances, supporting members to borrow money to improve their lives ... Along with that, launching and implementing effective emulation movements to welcome major events of the province and the country and create pervasiveness, attracting a large number of laborers to participate in the new situation.

Particularly in 2020, the targets on establishment of grassroots trade unions, signing collective labor agreements, dialogue at the workplace are all met and exceeded the assigned targets. Trade unions at all levels have simultaneously organized many activities to support workers who lost their jobs and reduced their income due to the Covid-19 epidemic such as: Supermarket 0 VND, gratitude rice ATM, gifts, necessities ... for hard labor, fatal disease and labor accident with a total of over 111 thousand gifts, total cost over 82 billion VND.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu acknowledged and appreciated Dong Nai's trade union activities in the past half term as well as in 2020. At the same time, suggested in the year In 2021, Dong Nai trade unions at all levels continue to perform well their core tasks of protecting and taking care of the legitimate interests of employees; do well in negotiating and discussing salary scale; labor safety and hygiene; Covid-19 epidemic prevention, stabilizing labor and production. In the immediate future, the leader of the General Confederation suggested that the Dong Nai trade union should concentrate all resources to take care of the new year for employees, especially those who live far away from the countryside to have a warm and thoughtful Tet holiday.

Also at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Quan Minh Cuong emphasized that in the coming time, the Trade Union organization will continue to promote propaganda to raise awareness of union members and employees. In addition, pay close attention to life, grasp thoughts, wishes of union members and employees with many specific and practical activities.

The meeting voted additional 5 members of the Executive Committee, 1 Supervisory Committee for the term of 2018-2023.
